OK, so yesterday I was at the new Acme near my home. I'm just be-bopping up the aisle when I go walking past these two guys. One guy, makes that kind of eye contact that sets the gaydar off. I acknowledge them with a "Hi, how you doin?"

Next thing, the younger of the two is like following me all over the store. Now I'm trying to keep from laughing out loud, because this is too wierd! Finally, it's just him and me in the cereal aisle. So I say to him; "Cruising in the grocery store's a bit forward, don't you think?" He laughs, tells me his name and we chat a bit before going our seperate ways.

I actually was very flattered by the whole thing. Anybody else get cruised in a place where you aren't actually expecting to be? How'd you react?

I think it's cool! Here in Orlando, there is a large Florida chain grocery store called Publix, which is probably the "top of the line" for grocery stores. One of their many stores is situated in a very gay area of the city, thus, many refer to it as "the gay Publix". Walking in there is like walking into the bar!! I can't tell you how many guys I've talked to at the sushi counter or the Deli or while roaming the aisles! The store has even had "gay nights" when everyone goes to shop and cruise. It is all done in good taste and I never saw a grocery store take such a "community involvement" in their efforts. Needless to say, it is VERY popular and they do an incredible business there. What's even better is that a few of the bars are just around the corner. So it's almost "tradition" to stop by for Happy Hour, have a couple cocktails, then head to the grocery store.

You'll find me in the produce section...near the cucumbers, carrots and bananas!! (!)

hanging out by the cucumbers & hook-neck squash has worked for me before

Happened twice at the local grocery store but the wierdest one was in the main public library.
I was going up the escalator from second to third floor. It was middle of summer. This was this guy (a little younger than me) just sitting by the pillar at the top of the escalator. As I came slowly up the conveyance he kept looking straight at my crotch.
When I stepped off I nodded in his direction. I headed for the history section and he folllowed me. Well by then I knew what was up.
We talked for a minute in amongst the bookshelves.... and I told him to wait for me in the lobby. I got my books and he was waiting for me in the checkout section.
We went outside to my car. I was parked in a covered lot, but on ground level.
We got together, started messing around of course..... pulled our pants down.... just then the folks in the buildings near started coming out of lunch. Now this parking lot was dark inside, just the light from the openings of the building. We were both hard as hell and trying to jack each other off. But it was too distracting with all these people walking by.
He didn't want to go to my place to finish the job. So we parted company.

My aunt loves that Publix we go there alot when I'm visiting her. She always makes jokes that she's going to find me a nice guy with a huge dick to take home. She's always telling me how cute it would be for me and someone to screw in her pool.

My aunt's a huge fag hag. :(

Wegmans in East Avenue

Need I say more

and I've been to Publix, not that one, but they are not even close to Wegmans.

and the one in East Ave... Well ;)

I live in Los Angeles. I expect to be cruised anywhere I go. I'm pissed if I DONT get cruised when I go to the Whole Foods in West Hollywood.

The local coffee/tea shop I go to in Venice is pretty good - mostly really young guys, but they like to flaunt hard-ons while wearing loose pants. I'm not sure if that's cruising, but it certainly is stimulating. It seems a lot of guys in Venice don't wear underwear. There are no major grocery stores in Venice on this side (the beach side) of Lincoln Blvd, and so I shop in Marina Del Rey, where there are very slutty women obviously flaunting themselves for men who have yachts. There are also a lot of Euro tourists, and I often mistake them for gay.

Tell your aunt to stay far away from the "queen from hell" that presides over the bakery. He has been known to pontificate, read everybody's beads and slyly slip a creme brulee in your shopping cart when you're not looking. You don't need that around the pool. Avoid the bakery drama and join us in the produce section where all the "sizing" takes place! *|*

I work in a restaurant so I get cruised occasionally, but every single time... it's a married man :(. I don't play that game [-X

I once got cruised when I worked at the movie theater.

I was all greasy from the popcorn oil...

Wait, what?

So where exactly is this Publix located? :D

I have cruised practically everywhere and got cruised everywhere, too.

Say, Safeway@ the Church St., San Francisco; or the Whole Foods at Franklin and California, San Francisco. Sure, you cruise and you want to get cruised, too. That's why I hang out in San Francisco, if I can help it.

I have cruised/got cruised on commercial flights, in trains, public buses, taxi cabs, at hotels, at conventions, aboard cruise ships, in libraries, on beaches, while hiking, in shopping malls, and the list rolls on...

So far, no one has tried to cruise me on any of the cemeteries. But save for those, I'd simply say: EVERYWHERE.

And I love it that way. I like sex for sex's sake, too. So, if anyone is offering, I'll have the decency to look into it and voice my opinion. Equally so, if I find someone hot, I do put my moves on him, too. Hey, if it works for him, good. If it doesn't, that's fine, too.

Actually, for most guys, showing guts and cruising (within reason) in public places are major turn ons. Signalling comfort and high levels of self-confidence are major tools in obtaining qualified mates.

Self-confident guys win big time.
