Now, Swimming Pools.
Used to do Lakes in my youth.
Learned in the Ocean, but I live several hundred miles from there.
Of course, our largest, local lake is a big as some seas.

What kind of vegetation do you like?
(Evergreen vs, Deciduous, perennials vs annuals, types?)
 
Only on extremely rare occasions.

That was a phase of my youth.
Since I can't tolerate most women's perfumes and some of the aftershave a couple of the guys bathe in at work,
I tend to go unscented.

That's a tough one. I like Iced Tea, but as a blood donor, I stay away from it - the tannins leach your iron stores.
I guess Ice Water w/ Lots of ice on a hot Summer's day.

I used to like a lot more things, but I try to be 1/2-way good, now.

Some High School, and (later) College Buds, and I, would do that almost every weekend. We'd pick a general direction, and take the roads that looked the most interesting. When it was time to go back, only then would we pull out the maps, figure out where the hell we were, and plot a different way to return. :eek: :help: :lol:

Many fantastic places for sight seeing, eating, skinny dipping, historical markers, etc., were discovered on those drives! (!w!) ..|

Have you ever woken up not knowing where you were, or who you might be with? :confused: :-<

Not RELATED, however I've gotten to KNOW some Famous people, through family contacts, and also know a few from my college days, and through my previous community based work. Mostly entertainers and politicians. And, a pair of my Dad's socks were at a luncheon with Queen Elizabeth (Long story). :lol:

Have you ever been on TV, in the Newspaper, or featured in other media?
 
I was on TV to announce a Scout program way back when.

I was in the newspaper in 2nd grade - my "how we made butter" was the best piece, lol.

Have you ever driven over 1000 miles one way on a trip?
 
When I was a kid my family took a road trip south to Florida from Maryland then back up north, visiting family and Disney World along the way :) childhood memories :)

Have you ever written anything that has been published?
 
The two closest things I have done re: Military are the Boy Scouts as a kid and adult and I applied to Annapolis but didn't get in.

As a junior in high school I was actively recruited by the Air Force Academy. However, given the times (Vietnam, and all that), I went on to college (Northwestern University) to maintain my 2S draft deferment.

Military service THEN was not the same as it is NOW! I think the times have changed for the better!
