"Getting to know you...

Oh! Difficult choice! Love both!

Chicken (the Real stuff, not Young Guys), is generally moister and a bit more tasty. However, the roasted turkey legs, at the Renaissance Fair, are Fantabulous!

Still ... I think I'll have to vote for the Chicken!

Were you one of those Barefoot Kids, with soles as thick as leather? Or ... did you wear shoes most of the Summer time?

A fair amount of time barefoot, but a fair amount w/ shoes, too - bike riding and woods hiking weren't conducive to bare feet.
The pool, on the other hand.

Learned to swim in Narragansett Bay, but we moved inland when I was 7, so most was Lake - mind you, Lake Ontario is as large as most "seas".

Jason, I'm missing the item of selection reference. I'm thinking Good Humour man ice cream on a stick vs. soft-serve vanilla-chocolate twist, based on our discussions of Summer as a kid.

Twist - LARGE Twist. Although, to be honest, our Frozen Custard is hand dipped.

Watermelon - two part question:

Seeded or seedless?

Salted or Plain?

Saturday just bumming around and Sunday going my twin great nephews 16th birthday.

Are you religious?

I'm a Preacher's Kid, raised "behind the altar", and have studied many of Earth's religions. However, I wouldn't consider myself "Religious". [-X

"Spiritual", Yes! (o)

I hold by the statement, and I wish I knew who to attribute it to, that, "We are all Spiritual Beings enjoying a Temporary physical existence." ..|

Do you have a "Bucket List"?

^Hey Chaz, I myself is a son of a Baptist Minister. Not religious either.

No bucket list.

What is your favorite getaway place.

All depends.
Been so long since I've been able to get away, have to think of the simple things in life.

Even just the movies with the wife and kids.

And, I have a deep love of God and am a practicing Catholic, though there are many things I disagree with my Mother Church on.
(See MikeyLove's farewell thread in Religion forum for further details.)

Do you drink Milk as an adult, and if yes, what kind?

Milk only in cereal. Whole milk (Bordens or TG Lee)

Which is your favorite day of the week?

Saturday - M-F is work. I like Sunday, but that "M" day comes too soon thereafter.

Wishing I could drive down to Pittsburgh for a concert tomorrow night, but not in the cards.

Do you like wine?

Not yet today.

Wanted to smack some people, though.

Are you going to have Corned Beef and Cabbage (potatoes, carrots) some time in the next few days?

No, like it but too much work to cook.

What is your families origins? (Mines Irish)

^ There's always a restaurant.

I tell people I'm "Purebred Heinz" (57 varieties)

Welsh
Irish
German
Modoc (Native American)
And who knows what's not recorded!

for my kids add in my wife's side -
French
English
Iroquois or Algonquin

If you are what you eat, what origins would you be?

Restaurants do not taste as good as homemade.

Totally Southern/kill it then fry it. I know in todays world fried is not the way to go, but at my age I am not changing now.

Same Question^

I love food of a wide variety.

Irish, Italian, Chinese, "American", French, Cajun, Creole, Mexican, German, Polish, some Greek.
Even sushi a bit here or there. I'll even do Chicken Fried Steak.

Do you like "Artisan" breads?

Yes, more flavor. Go to a mom and pop type bakery. Everything is fresh daily and a lot better than supermarket bake goods.

Who is your favorite actor?

That's a tough one.

Lobster - I rarely get it.

Do you like Carrot Cake?

Like lots.

Right now, I enjoy a young duo - I've shared them around here.
This is their latest video -
