Glee! [merged]

Way too much melodrama!

And I'm starting to dislike more and more characters. (How many villains does one show need?)

The musical numbers weren't all that great this week either.

Will probably give it a week or two before deciding whether or not to drop it from my playlist.

The last episode was especially horrible.

The show is doing all it can to get in its own way.

More singing! Less contrived and convoluted plot!

How about having the characters improve at singing? And some social issues. But do we really need all these adult love and territory issues? No.

Plus, these twelve gleesters together are losing chemistry---fast. Doesn't help that while they're all tripping on pills the writers are putting the rest of us to sleep.

I pretty much agree with everything you said about yesterday's episode. The only funny thing about it was Terry's "bitch back off my man" scene. Not to mention this show has become a fucking walking billboard for J. Crew. I can tell by their shitty women's collection (as Terry points out).

I still love this show. :)

Isn't it just supposed to be entertainment after all?

Anyways, Jane Lynch had some hilarious lines in this week's episode (that I just got caught up to.) Actually, there were several points where I laughed out loud!

"They rejected my idea of corn rows, and everything was just getting too expensive because it involved a lot of erotic feathers..."

Not sure if you're kidding, but I think he said exotic feathers.

^ Yeah. I totally meant exotic #-o

(I was deleting too many spammers whilst posting lol...)

Sue Sylvester was on fire last night. I loved "Wheels, Gay Kid, Asian, Other Asian, Aretha, and Shaq." So fucking funny!

Speaking of Asian (or Other Asian), I have a new crush on Mike Chang (possible related to Tina Cohen-Chang?). Maybe it's because he actually got one speaking line, or maybe it was his popping and locking.

She was hysterical ---
When do we think stupid Finn is going to wake up and realize he didn't make Quinn pregnant???
and speaking of stupid, how stupid was the OB/GYN???

Over the top? Sure.

Ridiculus script? Of course.

Exaggerated comedy? Naturally.

Like "Grease" (the movie) for television. Instead of the 50's it's today...sort of.

The one liners are getting to be a riot. It is not traditional comedy. This one has crazy music numbers thrown.

When I thought the writing could not continue, it does. Is it stupid? Yes, and you like it because it is. What a twist.

Just one hour a week when you do not have to be serious or think or even pay all that much attention. Few things on television offer that.

Las night, for the first time ever, I reeeeeaaaallllllly loved Jane Lynch. :)

Well I'm not gonna bother to do episode by episode reactions any longer. It's clear that there's never going to be any consistency in character, motives, or background information and that things will continued to be mangled and mutated around plot lines that appear quirky and fun so that they can continue to dish out amusing one liners and highly entertaining musical numbers.

Which brings me to my thought: What songs would you like to see them do?

I think the Quinn/Rachel story line is just begging to end with "For Good" from Wicked

I'd also think any number of characters could pull of the witty and amusing "Secondary Characters" by the under appreciated "[Title of Show]." I think it would be most important for those characters that are always present but virtually invisible like Tina, Wheels, or the football/cheerleader clones. Basically I think it would be nice to here someone else sing now and then and this would be a cute way at it if they decided to add an actual storyline for one or two of them.

And finally "Once Upon a Time" from "Brooklyn" I think would be a great group number that could echo the feel good sentiments while still reflecting under currents in emotional/relationship dynamics in the group.

Would you prefer Evan and Veronica doing it instead, in the consistent plot line of whores that is RW/RR? :p

I am still giving Glee the benefit of the doubt. I think it's still an enjoyable and fun show to watch, regardless of the character development - so far.

If Will is such an idiot that he won't realize his wife is pregnant by the end of the season, then yes, I will get pissed.

What I don't understand is how Finn is such an idiot that you cannot get a girl pregnant in a hottub *fingers crossed*

All of Sue's lines in this past episode were fucking hysterical! The show got me laughing in the first 4 minutes per her character, and I've already downloaded 4 songs on iTunes from the Glee cast...

One can cast me as the "gay kid" that Sue did as well! I will sing with them! :D

I actually got around to watching this week's episode and blacksyringe is spot on. If it is any consolation, Finn (the actor) has had NO musical training at all. Auto-tuner was probably one of the inventions that ruined the music industry (next to the internet). It can make any person's voice sound good.

As for the story, it is was just perfect drama climax. The word is out on Quinn now. The whole underwear fetish was wierd, but it could have been done better. Plain white panties? Yawn, something a little more interesting like a lacy thong or grannie panties. Considering outside context, I would be much more embarrassed if I found some girl's underpants in my locker. Although I don't think it is clearly outlined how Sue knew that they were Rachel's (lets not try and extrapolate any further lmao).

Quinn will probably miscarry, thereby Terri having a kid is also out the window, Will discovers she was faking it, leaves her etc etc...

It's funny you say that, because when I saw the preview for this past weeks' episode, with Quinn crying in Finn's shoulders, that is exactly what I thought would happen. And, knowing this show, would show her in the shower or something with a look of horror on her face then looking down to see wtf just came out of her...

Regardless of how they do it, I think she will miscarry as well by the end of the season.

I finally got around to watching this week's episode and it was total crap. Even the singing numbers were pretty bad.
