Glee! [merged]

^ Yeah I agree they are her strong point. He voice really isn't well-suited to some other kinds of music. Wasn't a huge fan of her Lady Gaga song a few weeks ago or "Baby One more time" last week.

But this week, she did a great job singing "Papa can you hear me" from the musical, Yentl (By the way, I really have no exposure to this musical, so I Youtube'd the original song. Does anyone else thing Barbra Streisand is kind of over-hyped as a good singer? To me she really isn't great...)

I thought this episode was good, not great. Way better than last week. I thought Kurt and Finn's parents were living together, I knew that after Kurt tried to decorate the basement and Finn called him a name, Kurt's father kicked him out. They never really settled that...are the parents still dating?

They never got to live together due to that, but their parents didn't break up or anything.

Yea he's not my type and I dont think he's cute at all. And his singing Billionaire was so weird and dumb.

I know most people think Lea Michele is the greatest singer but I think when she tries to sing contemporary songs it sounds terrible. To me she only sings songs from musicals well.

Yes I agree, in fact I think Tina would be better suited for those type of songs. The thing is that since Rachel is more involved in the main plot than Tina it sort of makes more sense that she would sing more songs. But that also means Tina should get more lines.

^ i guess they are .. with his mother being in the hospital, and being the one who told Finn about it.

i couldn't stand that cheesus crap .. that was a bit too over the top, even for glee. i was really waiting for "losing my religion" being sung .. and granted - there it was. but it was um .. crap. while the voice was good for the song. what was that about his stone-hard face without any emotion, not even some real lip movement?

I thought the first half was as bad as the first episode. It seemed to pick up after I Want To Hold Your Hand, but alas, the Bridge Over Troubled Water was terrible, and that "but I believe in you line"... cringe-worthy.

5/10. For effort.

I thought this weeks episode was one of the best out of the whole series so far, all the music was good, loved Papa, Can You Hear Me? and I Wanna Hold You Hand, Loved it all. Sue made me well up, as did Kurt, it was just a very strong episode I think, delt with something very controversal I think, and something very meaningful and deep to alot of people and delt with it successfully!

^I agree 100%. It was probably my favorite episode so far. I think they handled the subject matter very well.

Plus, every single song this week was really good.

I don't agree, she's been 50/50 imo.

Great:
Take a Bow
What a Girl Wants
Crush
Smile
Hello
Borderline/Open Your Heart
Faithfully
The Only Exception

Not as great:
Gives You Hell
Telephone (Thanks to the over autotune)
Baby One More Time

I hate Kurt's new BF.. Sam would have been so much better for him :(

I didn't practically care for last week's episode. Kurt made it known that he didn't want anyone's religious beliefs pushed onto him. Yet his friends insist on having a prayer vigil for his father at the hospital. WTF? They could have prayed on their on time like Puck did. Leave it to Rachel to make everything about her. . . again.

Looking forward to this week's episode. I'm loving "River Deep Mountain High" with Santana & Mercedes.

Don't give up on Sam and Kurt yet. This is the same production team that SWORE UP AND DOWN that Idina Metzel wasn't going to be Rachel's mother. She was the coach of Vocal Adrenaline and nothing more. Until they revealed that she was Rachel's mother.

You forgot Don't Rain On My Parade which was electrifying.

Some times Lea sounds jaw-dropping amazing...but other times, not so much.

I still think the best song they released is 'I Dreamed a Dream'.

Can someone please tell me they don't like Rachel at all... I can't stand her character :/. I'm on episode 15 right now and so far Rachel just annoys the crap out of me. I've decided I love sue and I identify with Artie the most.

Who do you identify with the most and dislike the most?

The preview of Chord Overstreet in the Rocky Horror picture show episode all shirtless and hot as hell makes me so happy. *|*

Did I just type that out loud? !oops!
