Glee! [merged]

I havent seen this show in a while but I just realized there's now a big white girl. As if there werent enough neglected characters on this show. I bet the actress who plays Mercedes is pissed.

Ugh...I've always hated Kurt. Not at all b/c he his feminine. He's just so manipulative, annoying, judgmental, hypocritical, and a selfish little baby. And what sucks most is he is like America's gay sweetheart, even winning a golden globe.

Kurt didn`t win a golden globe, THE ACTOR Chris Colfer did. He is actually very different from the character he played.

But the award was for his portrayal of Kurt. And tbh whenever I see him in interviews he seems just like Kurt. He talks the same but obviously he is quieter and more humble.

spoilerific commentary in white

“Key Dollar Sign Ha”- Figgins is so often inadvertently hysterical. Is Kitty Dukakis now an advocate against problem drinking? Last I heard of her was the Isopropyl incident. Odd that they mention a speech from her but we didn’t get to hear it.

MY GOD Sue is SUCH a bitch! “The very lemur who rejected the bestial horror of your craven sexual advances.” Umm why didn’t the “chipper homosexual” from Aural Intensity press charges against Sue for pushing him down the stairs? Same crime was enough to incarcerate Rebecca Romijn’s gorgeous Ugly Betty transsexual, right? Pushing someone down TWO flights of stairs WITH SEPARATE PUSHES – attempted murder? aggravated assault? SOMETHING? She’s just SO horrible you want to see her suffer.

“My Headband?” Maybe Rachel COULD stand to live a little. LOVED the drunken party at Rachel’s. Popapathy just about had an overjoyed conniption fit when his current favorite song – “Like a G6″ song came on for the inebriated party montage – it is his ringtone. IT TASTES LIKE PINK! Glad they designated a driver. At least they are responsible binge drinkers. Finn’s breakdown of the “drunk girl archetypes” was hysterical and totally on target. Tho I would have appreciated a similar listing of the types of drunk boys.

I had a feeling Rachel would end up landing on a gay boy for Spin the Bottle. I just didn’t think he’d like it. Love the song Don’t You Want Me. I just added this version to my ITunes library and you can too. I think they are intentionally giving Blaine songs that will appeal to the rapidly growing Darren Criss fanbase. I’m not sure if any have outsold his Teenage Dream.

Blame it on the Alcohol DOES seem to be glorifying teen drinking. Does Mr. Schu REALLY think they are pretending to be drunk – I don’t think so.

The whole thing with Rachel is odd. Definitely surprised that Blaine was into it – even if he was wasted. I see Kurt’s point, but he should have been more supportive of his friend. It’s BLAINE’s life Kurt doesn’t get to judge it.

Biest and Mr Schu at Rosalita’s Roadhouse was great. Though I don’t really want a bourbon, scotch or beer… yuck.

Kurt’s line to Rachel… “Blaine is the first of a long line of conflicted men that you will date that will later turn out to be only the most flaming of homosexuals.” Sheer bitchy brilliance. But I think he called it right. Rachel has future faghag written all over her in indelible ink.

I’m disappointed in Burt Hummel’s reaction to finding Blaine in Kurt’s room. They were fully dressed. By letting Blaine stay, Kurt was being responsible and was in NO WAY inappropriate. For him to make Kurt apologize was what was inappropriate. I DO like Kurt’s response to his day saying “I don’t know what two guys do together.” Asking him to “step outside your comfort zone and educate yourself so if I have any questions I can go to my Dad like any straight son could” is a wonderful way to tell a USUALLY very cool Dad how he could be cooler.

The lesson to be learned from Tik Tok is DO NOT make you own Kamikaze with whatever’s handy after the party before dancing/singing… AND cough syrup is NOT a mixer.

Sue needs to lose her PA privileges. I’m glad Figgins actually thought the vomit was special FX and a brilliant comedy performance. Mr. Schu is cool to offer his chauffer services to those who fall off the wagon.

Poor Rachel. That was brutal. “Yup I’m gay, 100% gay. Thanks for clearing that up.” What will Rachel channel the “songwriting gold” of falling for a gay guy into? We’ll find out in 2 weeks when Gwyneth Paltrow returns to reprise her role as Holly Holiday and DATE MR. SCHU! Yay Gwynneth!

There is also 2 AF-AM guys on the show one was a potential date for Mercedes which we got a glimpse of and one of the bullies at school.

While the biphobia is a tad realistic, since there are many gays who are like that. But it's still stupid b/c everything else about Kurt sexuality is completely stupid and unrealistic.

TRUTH!

He is just bitchy that another guy doesn't want him. I see him chasing a lot of straight guys in his future who will marry and have kids. Just not with him.

Yeah I don't like how the writers treated the topic of bisexuality, as if it were something fleeting. I think many people question their sexuality well into their lives and experiment even beyond adolescence. Wrapping that up in one episode is not only insulting but stupid in general. It would have been far better to have Sam/Puck/Finn/Other heterosexual questioning their heterosexuality with bisexuality.

Are u kidding me? Those guys totally don't count. they're not even in Glee. They have like no lines and wouldn't even count as recurring. There was that one black guy who was actually in Glee. But he never had a single line or solo and I'm not sure he even had a name. Then he disappeared out of nowhere.

....and Rachel seemed like the manipulative one- knowing Kurt has feelings for a guy and pursue him/shove it in his face....

To be fair, when I was watching the show regularly, Kurt was constantly trying everything he could to sabotage Finn and Rachel and constantly throwing himself at him..

I am all for the crazy plot lines but they have to be done well. I have seen better fan fiction written than this dribble.

If it wasn't for the musical numbers, this show would be off the air already.

Kurt proves again why I can't stand his ass. Well maybe Ryan Murphy is to blame. It's like they play the gay card for everything.

Kurt's father had every right to tell Kurt to ask for permission before gay guys, who Kurt likes, spend the night in his bed. Especially since the guy was drunk. His dad even explained how Finn couldnt just bring a girl to sleep in his bed.

But of course Murphy makes it a crime for Kurt's dad to parent w/o being some homophobic bigot.

Um, no, he didn't come off that way at all. Kurt did quietly accept his father's point as a valid one and apologized. Most of the comments I've seen online supported Burt's setting of ground rules. Just because Kurt left on his comment about Burt learning more about what two guys do so he could go to him when he has questions, doesn't mean he didn't accept that having a drunk Blaine over in his bed was not cool.

Um no to you. He didnt accept his father's point. He made his father out to be some bigoted jerk. That's why his father even had to point out all the ways he has been supportive to defend himself. And he most certainly didnt give a genuine apology. And he had some sarcastic comment about his father being ignorant before he left. How is any of that accepting what his father said?

It's jsut like when they made Finn into a homophobe after being constantly sexually harrassed by Kurt.

It doesnt surprise me the Murphy writes this crap after he started all the shit with Kings of Leon, then called them homophobes when they called him a girl. Murphy is a gay card playing little bitch just like Kurt.

I actually think the audience was supposed to be more on Burt's side for that one. I will also never get the Kurt hate, sure he's a bitchy, manipulative, hypocritical pain in the ass, but so are at least half of the characters in the damn show. Kurt just seems to get more hate for it.

I actually didn't like that episode at all. I thought it was overacted and just plain dumb. The entire Glee club becoming alcoholics after one night of drinking...so they continue to drink to get the hair of the dog? Such bullshit.

For me at least, the difference is Kurt does fucked up things then tries to hide behind the whole gay victim thing. Kurt/the writers make every time someone is mean to him about his sexuality.

I think Burt has a point. Kurt should not be having guys who might be gay sleep over without a parent's knowledge/consent. But I also think Kurt's reaction to his father's lack of knowledge about the gay facts of life was a wonderful way to illustrate how an already very cool, supportive and progressive parent could be cooler. Straight kids usually get the facts of life talk. Gay kids usually have to learn it from porn.

alcohol portion of the episode was NOT effective as a tool against teen binge drinking... They made it look like fun (if you avoid cough syrup kamikazes).

I agree. There are plenty of valid reasons to be critical of him, but a lot of the outright HATE he's getting stems from effemiphobia and it really pisses me off. Like in "Duets", some "straight-acting" gays were voicing disgust at Kurt's "Victor/Victoria" number.

His flaws are very similar to Rachel's, but they just accept her as crazy, like everyone else on this goddamn show. For some reason, that doesn't apply to Kurt.

I, for one, never gave 2 shits about whether or not Kurt was effeminate.

Rachel is crazy, but unlike Kurt, she doesn't play the victim. She is down for a bit, but then lifts herself up and doesnt blame anyone else for her problems. She haphazardly tries to fix things on her own.

She doesnt use that fact that she is Jewish or has gay parents as a crutch. She just accepts it as part of her life and draws strength from it as much as she can.
