Glee! [merged]

Also...when did Quinn move back to her parent's house? Wasn't she living with Mercedes?

Also...why do they keep bringing Gwyneth Paltrow on...she is hooooorible. I don't know if I hate an actress more than her.

Blaine is becoming the sole reason to watch the show....Brittany, Lauren and Santana are even starting to grow tired.

Quinn's parents are separated and/or possibly divorced. After she gave birth her mom told her the news. (Would have been nice for us to see Mercede's family though.)

I don't think they'd bring Gwyneth back if the fans or cast didn't enjoy her. She's hit-and-miss for me, I didn't enjoy her that much tonight but I did like her talk with Santana and Brittany.

So, Kurt 'tried' watching porn but he could only think of what the porn stars mothers were thinking and the horrible tattoos? What a fucking joke. It's pathetic to the point of not being funny, actually.

Does anyone think of porn stars and their actual lives when they're aroused? I sure as hell don't.

I found nothing about his feelings to be something you could sympathize with or find humorous either. They could have done a better job with that story tonight, at least in my eyes they did the sex talk well.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

It's these moments that keep me loving Glee. Although this episode was pretty cheesy, that part wasn't so cheesy.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

Having sex without a "connection" means you don't matter?

Hrm...okay.

I can tell between this and the episode where Blaine talks about how bisexuality doesn't exist, I'll go back to hating this show. Which is good I guess, because I was starting to like it too much.

What I got from it was he didn't want his son to just sleep with anyone. I think most people got that from it. Why would his dad advocate sleeping with someone to get your rocks off on a prime time show? He's supposed to be talking to a 16 or 17 year old.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

I thought it was annoying how his father generalizes that for males sex is just sex and implies that, somehow, it's worse for two males. That's what I got out of it, anyway...

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

I just didn't like the message is all. :)

I do think that educating his son about the physical dangers of sex is a good move, though.

Parents will instruct their kids on what they believe is right. If you had kids, and you gave them your views on sex, some parents would go "but sex is too emotionally important! It's not just for fun whenever you want!"

And you'd both be right. Personally, I think sex IS an important emotional thing. Having a wank is one thing, even an anonymous hookup is something entirely different, but having sex with someone you know will change your relationship with them, like it or not.

But anyway, I think it's kind of odd that a teenage guy who is able to identify as gay wouldn't know how gay sex works.

MY thoughts about last night's episode:

-For an episode called "Sexy" I was expecting it to be a lot sexier. None of the guys took their shirts off or anything.

-I don't get why Kurt's dad gets so uncomfortable to talk about sex. It's not like he needs to tell Kurt how to put it up his butt, he basically just needs to tell him to wear a condom and not to be a whore.

-I thought that Santana suddenly loving Britney and that being the reason she's a bitch was just random. I like bitchy Santana, and I want her to be naturally bitchy not just a girl with deep issues who is bitchy because of that.

-Oh and why Kurt has to be such a girl??? I mean when the Warblers were singing he was sooooo girly. I'm fine with him being effeminate but in that performance I felt his effeminacy was over the top.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

While it seemed a little preachy (in regards to hookups), I thought it was good overall because in all honesty I wouldn't be advocating hookups to my teenage son either.

Sometimes I think you're against things just because they're mainstream.

Actually, it was Kurt who said bisexuality doesn't exist, while Blaine was struggling internally with the possibility that he might be. Come on NaughtyArousal, if you're gonna hate the show at least hate it correctly.

Personally I think this scene, just like nearly all Burt/Kurt scenes, was handled beautifully and believably. Whether or not agree with everything Burt said is irrelevant. It came across as something a real parent would say in an attempt to get his kid to protect himself. Burt doesn't want Kurt sleeping with just anyone for the sake of having sex, and really there aren't many parents that would. Well done Glee.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

I'm just really glad I never had to talk about sex with my parents. Eeew! And as if they could tell me anything I didn't already know.

But Mike O'Malley is really hot, I wouldn't mind talking about gay sex with him. I've had a thing for him ever since Yes, Dear.

Agreed. I've been crushing on him since I saw Yes, Dear as well.

Funny, I got the same impression, but thought the message was spot-on.

Re: Glee - Sex Talk With Dad & Kurt

I still remember having the "sex talk" with my son and daughter. My son, who was 13 interrupted me at one point when I was discussing masturbation and said, "I've already done it dad." We laughed and the conversation went on from there.

With my daughter, I think I told her shotguns and nasty itchy sores would surely be in her future should she have sex.

Actually both kids were pretty good....

1. The show was clearly more focused on the female sexiness or did you miss Holly's first number?

2. My parents never did the sex talk with me and was mostly left to find stuff out on my own. My mom before college told me to basically take of my body and I think I have.

3. It wasn't random. If Brit-Brit did it, it would have been more awkward given her personality. The point was, this "bitchy girl" let her guard down and exposed herself (emotionally). Think of her as the female version of "Karofsky". Troll over to afterellen.com and read the comments about it there to get much more of a "lesbian" response to the scene. I'm scared too because Murphy actually did something I like to call "character development".

4. I feel it was a bit over the top also. TBH, I'm fine with Kurt effeminacy but am far more concerned with Blaine's bi-polar-ish dealing with homosexuality. He's perfectly fine admitting his homosexuality but at the same is insecure with his emotions surrounding it? They're probably saving a Kurt/Blaine kiss for sweeps though.

I read an interesting comment on this on Television Without Pity. According to their theory, Kurt is very emotionally in tune, while being lost when it comes to sex. Whereas Blaine is comfortable with sex, but completely clueless when it comes to emotional attachment making them complementary to each other.

It's an interesting idea, and would make for a solid relationship. If I didn't think that Ryan Murphy was pulling this out of his ass as he went along, I'd say this boded well for the future.

This Warbler's version of Hey Monday's "Candles" is absolutely horrid....Kurt is so high pitched and slightly off key I think....he really needs to leave the Warbler's singing to Blaine...he already ruined "Animal" last week

I guess not all parents do the talk. But Kurt's dad being so uncomfortable makes him look inmature, he had the same reaction teenagers have when they see their parents kissing, you know what I mean? It's fine if you're a teen, but a 40 something year old man who can't tell his only son to put on a damn rubber? I any case, I think the conversation was really good when it finally happened.

But that is precisely what I disliked about her saying that, the fact that they gave a reason for her to be so bitchy, when I thought that was just part of her personality and that's what set her appart from the rest, she is the bitch with a big mouth who doesn't give a fuck what you think. Now turns out she isn't really bitchy, she just has issues :( and that's what I hate, they took away what makes her unique.

It's just like if someday Brittany said "you know what guys? I'm not really as dumb as you think, I just act like an idiot to cope with my parents' divorce because I can't handle it" or something like that. They would take away what makes her unique just to fit with a storyline.

So now I really like Lauren Zizes, cuz I need someone to be the bitch and she's perfect for it.

Blaine is an idiot. I hate the character and I dislike the actor, he has zero chemistry with Kurt. As a matter of fact, I'm hoping Kurt hooks up with Karofsky, now that would be a twist.

No. It wouldn't. If I had to read another person QQing about how "my BF doesn't love me because he won't pound my butt every other day" I would put them on ignore. Blaine would be wanting to jump Kurt's bones and Kurt's response would be "can we just cuddle?".

I agree with innocentbychoice. Blaine and Kurt have no chemistry at all or rather it is forced through the directors. There would be a lot more innocent touching (like hand on shoulder, hugs etc) if there was chemistry.
