Glee! [merged]

"Yes/No" was hands down amazing. Very story driven, more realistic, shirtless Sam with a mention to his nipples and, the best part of the whole episode: Becky. It broke my heart to see her after she ended up things with Artie, and knowing that's she's fully aware of who she is and her chances in life...awwwww. That made the whole episode worth it, I almost cried.

I didn't notice Mercedes being absent from the synchro routine- too funny....Like that Sue seemed human in the episode- still bitchy, but fun- not a cartoon like usual....

The problem with Glee's bipolar approach to Sue is that she was introduced as nothing more than exactly that: a cartoon. The writers seem to think that by turning her into a completely different person from one episode to the next, they are creating a "multidimensional" character. But the arcs are way to fast from one personality to the next - None of it is earned.

Good television (and especially "great" television, which died in the 90s) takes an entire season to explore character development, usually leading up to a "very special episode" that presents a character in a different light after a very strong story shift.

Glee's problem is that it seems so desperate, so worried that it may not last another season or get a chance to shove in all its arcs, that it does so at breakneck speed. Characters are pushed around like chess pieces, there is no respect for the parameters that get set, and none of the reveals are earned. Characters personalities or objectives are completely unrecognizable from one episode to the next. Just an endless series of nonsequiturs.

Yes, I agree that Sue's maniacal evilness got old in season 1, but these sudden weird left-field revisions of her character strike me as nothing more than different writers handling her in different ways, with little to no regard for how this comes off in the finished product.

Does anyone realize that nobody on the show is or has friends? What I mean by this is everybody hates them because they're in glee club so all they have is each other and the only members that are friends are Kurt and Rachel. Nobody hangs out or spends time together(Non-couples) unless it's as the glee club or for an assignment.

Side Note: I'm always happy to get a song by Emma
More importantly: Aparently there are no other single guys in that school, only at glee club, because Becky not even considers any other students.

I got through two minutes of tonight's episode and turned it off it was that insufferable. Never have I had the urge to punch Darren Criss' smug face until now.

Tonight's episode was pretty damn bad. a)too much Artie singing b)what the fuck was that Scream video? c)Really? A slushie attack?

The only thing that saved the episode for me was once again Santana...her songs were good and she had that great little section talking to Kurt

I wanted to punch Kurt many times during this episode...from the very beginning in that leather jumpsuit and giant fur hat and that horrible t-rex dancing he does...to him gyrating his hips in the auditorium part of "Wanna Be Starting Something" and that horrible rendition of "Ben" and his weird baby teeth/no lips combo in the ridiculous "Black or White" morphing scene...ugh

I wanted to bitch slap Rachael so bad. When Kurt told her the good news about his entry to NYADA, she HAD to make it about her and whine about not getting accepted...despite not getting any letters saying such. Lo and behold, she gets her acceptance letter the very next day.

And marrying Finn? There are dozens of reasons why so should have said no.

It was nice to see Santana feed that asshole a huge slice of humble pie with a big cup of kiss my ass.

I have to say that I now love Sebastian. the only thing keeping me from loving him before was his love of blaine.. now that that is over I like him a whole lot more.. smooth criminal was so good. and everytime he is so rude to kurt my heart smiles

In regards to Sue, if you go back to season one when they introduced her late sister, you would have seen a different side to Sue. Jane Lynch has had some really good episodes when they stop treating her like a lunatic, like the episode when her sister passed away, when they introduced Becky when she tried out for Cheer, when she replied to Shue when he was nervous what she would say when Becky had her audition, "What do you want me to treat her differently" mean she would be mean and nasty like she is to all the girls. The episode last week with Becky, just great.

This weeks episode was crap. I ended up fast forwarding though most of the songs - I am not much of a Michael Jackson fan and these versions were shit.

All I could think of when they asked "What Would Michael Jackson Do?" is - well I won't go into details but it involves Macaulay Culkin and the chimp...

I FF'd through most the songs because they were dreadful and even the plot was dreadful. I did stop to listen to Black and White because it was apparently my first favorite Michael song according to my mom.

I think Darren Criss has much potential for a career (and a few others as well) as a singer/actor but hanging around Glee any longer will stunt that growth severely. Adding to that, Chris Colfer is a horrible interviewer. I saw him on Leno this week and I dunno if Leno didn't preempt the questions but he was very flustered by them and seemed fidgety.

I liked Santana on "Smooth Criminal" and the Sam/Mercedes duet on "Human Nature". But the rest was just AWFUL. Mike is spinning in his grave.

I mean, Kurt singing "Ben"? A love song about a rat? REALLY?

If they had Santana singing "Dirty Diana" to Brittnay, I would have lost my damn mind. 8^)
