at least in the last years of its life, Golden Girls didn't have to rely on guests stars to keep up the ratings.

GG proved you can make a comedy about the sex lives of senior citizens as long as you have great characters and clever writing... W&G is a bit of a one note who's lated seasons devolve into cheap toilet humor.

Whenever I watch the Lifetime Channel in the morning, I'll watch The Golden Girls and Fraiser, but as soon as Will and Grace comes on, I'll change the channel...

How anyone NOT like the Golden Girls. The show was full of one-liners and classic moments. That youtube clip of them buying condoms is hilarious.

How did Will and Grace hurt the gay community?

I have learnt that nothing pleases the entire gay community.

What's wrong with Queer As Folk? Stereotyping. Not everyone fucks like Brian. we are dead boring gays.

What's wrong with Queer Eye? Stereotyping. Not everyone is flamboyant like the 5 guys. We are all masculine.

What's wrong with Noah's Arc? Stereotyping. We are not sissies like them. We are men without problems seen in Noah's arc.

What's wrong with Dante's Cove? Stereotyping. We don't look that good without our shirts on.

What's wrong with Will & Grace? Stereotyping. None of us are like Jack, or loveless like Will. We are serious, hard-loving lucky in love men.

Everyone's a critic.

I'll be faithful. I love Golden Girls. And I love Will & Grace too. And I am thankful for the 8 years of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. ;)

Well most of that's true. I'm sorry but I'm not going to hold up the illusion of progress and say look progress! It ain't. I mean it's wonderful if you happen to want to be a fashion consult but I don't and I'm sure not all of you do either. And quite frankly I find it stupid that people assume because you ARE gay you like shows about gay people even if they're not any good. PLEASE Gimme Blanch Dorthory and Rose, Elaine Krammer George and Jerry, or Hawkeye and Trapper over Will and Grace and thier one note sidekicks any day.

Golden Girls, simply because I liked more episodes out of the two. W&G was awesome to me when it first started. Loved the first three seasons, four was ok, but after that, the show seriously went downhill in quality for me.

Definately Golden Girls!

Although Will and Grace was funny, it did get annoying at times, Golden Girls never did.

Fun fact:

Did you know that Estelle Getty (Sophia) and Bea Aurthur (Dorothy) were both born in 1923 even though the played mother and daughter?

I did not know that.

ack, i can't choose i love them both for different reasons.

So i'll do the right thing and say both are my fav!!;)

yup Bea is a few months older than Estelle.

my pick is obviously is Golden Girls. ive seen every episode atleast 10 or more times and they NEVER get old. dont get me wrong i love Will & Grace but it will be years before it can get into the Golden Girls status as a classic

ok did anyone cry with the last episode of the Golden Girls where Dorothy leaves with her new hubby? i kid you not i was crying so bad you would of thought someone died.

Maybe a better poll would have been Golden Girls or Designing Women (of course, not including the years when Delta Burke was not on).

Wow. I didn't expect Golden Girls to have the most votes...

That's because you are a young'in. Golden Girls is by far the better show. Will and Grace was okay but the last 5 years sucked ass and boy did I hate grace!!!! Will became a bitch the last couple years also. I have caught some shows on rerun cause I got pissed and gave up will and Grace when they were new. I still laugh when I watch the Golden Girls even though I have seen each episode many times.

I have seen every GG's and W&G episode but i can count on my hands the amount of DW eps i have seen.

DG aparently has a significant gay following though.

"And that was the night the light's went out in Georgia."

The sign of a classic comedy is when you can watch every episode over and over and still find yourself laughing even though you know all the words and know the surprises.

I hate watching the same old episodes of a sitcom over and over again, but there are few that I could watch one after the other and never ever ever get old. the golden girls are most defiantly one of them. I LOVE THEM! I thought I loved will and grace just as much, but it turns out I haven’t watched an episode since it ended...
