  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Goodbye GAyForIt, JerkYourTube and ItsAll Gay....

Unless I am going to the wrong Cocksure site then what you have in your screen cap is certainly NOT what I see when I go to the Cocksure Men join page ... I get the following which clearly does not show anything like you have above.

What you have shown only appears if you take the tour from a JUB link ... if you go direct to the site by typing in www.cocksuremen.com. and then clicking join you get what I see. So you can see there is a bit of an issue.

i might be wrong but join porn sites via jub is cheaper and better value for money ? ...

OH!!..

that's the non-US join page.

Wow, ok, that's gotta get fixed.

Kettles, and pots........

Like merchants of porn do, you come up with a set of rules you can follow, you name-call people who don't follow your rules, advocate screwing people over when it suits you and set yourself up on a pedestal.

And... when did I do that?

Just imagine. Moral indignation from purveyors of porn. We are used to such self righteous behaviour from religious zealots, but to witness an entrepreneur of porn borrowing the language of the elect, is a treat - just in time for Easter.

Oh dear... another "Oh yeah.. well YOU MAKE PORN" argument on a porn site.

How cute.

So if you're just hosting a file, but not selling access to it, i.e. it is up somewhere and there's no fee involved, it'll be ok?

I'm not sure how that would work, but that's not what this lawsuit is about, from what I understand. Let's not forget that I don't speak for these companies and I'm just speculating on that point.

If films are like books and there is a limited time to copyright on the work, it'll be ok to place it on a free archive sometime in the future when we're all gone and several generations have passed, wouldn't it?

I think so, yes.

I find it really funny that although you've been in other threads with your Christian moralizing and judging everyone else, you now advocate stealing when it suits you.

Like Christians do, you come up with a set of rules you can follow, you name-call people who don't follow your rules, advocate screwing people over when it suits you and set yourself up on a pedestal.

It's even funnier that you - a person who says he's bisexual and doesn't NEED men and will be just fine with women - is saying this at a gay porn site.

Just to refresh your memory.

I know what I said. I don't see that as name-calling, moralizing, making a set of rules I can follow and shit-talking those who don't follow them myself...

Hey, be what you want to be, but don't tell me I'm dumb for paying for my music.

Had you addressed those comments directly to the person, or persons who make such judgements, then all fine and dandy. But to collectively condemn Christians is to imagine that all Christians share a common view on the matter of porn. You know that they don't. Likewise not all porn producers share a common lack of ethics when some produce bare back porn, and others refuse to produce bare back porn.

That intellectual property rights should be protected under law is not being questioned by me. Rather your choice to imitate those religious zealots who spend their life dictating to others how they should live their life. Moral bankruptcy is not monopolised by fanatical religious practitioners.

Not sure where I did that.

But it's pretty clear we're not going to agree here.

I'll tell you that when a guy like... whatever his name was... comes here moralizing and telling us all we're going to hell because we're not abstaining from sex... then tells us we're "dumb" for not stealing and finishes that up with "why would I pay for something I can get for free?" I find it kinda funny.

I have no beef with you on the matter of intellectual property rights being protected under law.

That you have chosen the moral high ground by using language that is predictably utilised by the holier than thou, religious fanatic is hypocritical when I consider that you have spent much time on this forum justifying your production of bare back porn.

The self loathing gay is a constant reminder that many who now post(or once posted) on this board with the freedom that comes with acceptance of our sexuality, were once closeted, self loathing and confused young men. Let's remember that the self loathing needs our help, and not our judgemental condemnation.

I always appreciate your forthright posts. Hypocrisy attracts my ire.

Well and there's where we differ. I seldom mention it, really, and try to stay away from the hysterical arguments about it.

But hey... you see things one way, I'll see things mine.

And I've certainly not advocated barebacking, told people to always use a condom outside the controlled porn shoots I work on and never told anyone they're "dumb" for using condoms.

I mean, I only fuck with condoms myself.

I always make an effort to read your posts. Your often controversial opinions can be highly educational.

Your posts on bare back porn have enlightened me. I'll restrain my appetite to compliment you any further, for fear that some one may believe that I am an easy rider. ;)

Ah yes, due to the like-attracts-like principle no doubt.

The diplomatic me would respond my saying that I feel much more comfortable astride a Norton Commander, than riding Jasun's gluteus maximus.

I am sure that Jasun also feels comfortable with my choice of ride.

What a bitchfest
You use a product, pay for it, or it's theft.
I do use gayforit etc. and I know i'm stealing..but..humans do shit like this all the time...Doesn't make it right.

This wasn't to me, but makes no sense to me at all. What kind of a warped view on Socialism do you have?

You'll have to read the absurd post I was responding to.

The guy I was responding to said he was a socialist and thought that people shouldn't be paid for the work they create and that we should all be janitors or farmers and if we want to create art in our spare time, we should just do that for free.

I wasn't being serious in my post, I was taking the piss out of his absurd rant.

Ah, cheers for the clarification.

I'm in the UK you see, working for a 'socialised' health care system and getting paid very fairly for it, so I was like'WTF?'.

Carry on. :D

I had Gayforit bookmarked but rarely looked at it. But I see today that it appears to be gone along with its sister sites,

Any update on this from those in the know?

You're going to be hard pressed to find anyone in the industry willing to work with the guys from Gay For It who have made literally MILLIONS of dollars stealing from us, creating work for us, fucking us over, fucking us around and lying to us.

It's like saying "there's no way you can stop burglars from breaking into houses so you should find a way to work with them."

If you think this purportedly massive legion of pirates exists because of simple “pay vs. don't pay” economics, you are deluding yourself.

The music industry faced the same issue with pirates back in the days of Napster. They sued, they bitched, they moaned, they cried about bankruptcy.

But just a couple years later, what did they turn around and do? They created iTunes stores, to sell off albums, or individual songs, at full quality and marketable prices. And people responded. They responded in the millions, and soon other forms of media took notice; NetFlix for movies, e-Books for novels, direct2drive for video games, and the list goes on.

These industries adapted to meet the demands of their target consumer base, and the consume base overwhelmingly responded. Piracy is still an issue, but not nearly what it once was.

As I see it, most Porn studios have a limited understanding of what the internet represents to their industry. They see it as an advertising medium, and maybe an interactive catalogue. However, most are still approaching the concept of sales and finances as if it were 1990.

Learn from the industries that have come before you. They tried suing pirate sites and torrent trackers out of existence, and for every one they brought down 10 more took its place. It was not until they woke up to the realities of how the Internet changed the economic landscape of their business that they were able to adapt and begin profiting from these new opportunities -- instead of treating them like an enemy.

They disappeared for a short time for me this morning but they were back up and running again within a few minutes.

not sure I can agree with you about that. The porn industry was doing subscription services, Streaming and download to own long before the mainstream industries took it up. I think it's really the other way around, to be honest.

The adult industry, however, suffers from the bastard cousin syndrome. Although we came up with the technologies of online transactions, video streaming, DRM( which, to be fair, was a disaster)... we're not allowed onto the big boy's hardware. If we could have a Jake Cruise iPhone app, we would. In a heart beat.

Well you have to do both.

no, you can't stop individuals from stealing on the internet just yet (don't think there aren't bills and technologies in the works for that), but you CAN sue big companies that are making a shit load of money stealing your content. There have been some huge lawsuits won (and money collected) and there will be more.

If there was a "shadow" iTunes that was selling music they stole from iTunes.. you think Apple would walk away from that?
