I like this thread! Anyway, my list would be the following:

The original Conan the Barbarian. Basil Polourdis outdid himself with this one. One of the most beautiful scores for its time.
The LOTR trilogy. What more can you say? Great movie and great music, especially the theme for Rohan which I'll always recognize thanks to that string instrument which I can't name of at the moment.
The Godfather and Godfather Part II. Music you can't help but fall in love with.
Brokeback Mountain. Never been a fan of bluegrass music but this certainly made me take a second look. I cry a little every time I hear the theme music.
Flashdance. Might be campy now but Irene Cara stole this movie with her song.
Top Gun. Also campy now but that volleyball scene is one of the most homoerotic scenes ever, more so than 300.
Chicago. I knew I'd love this film when Catherine Zeta Jones strutted her stuff during the opening number.
Hairspray. Fun and uplifting.
Dreamgirls. Never saw the original broadway production but if the movie is any hint, I'm sure it was great.
Grease. One of my favorite movies of the 70s.
Original Star Wars. Like LOTR, this movie is in a class by itself as is the music.
