Erasing a murderer's crime record is definitely not the same as filing for bankruptcy.
Indeed it isn't, the comparison is absurd.
When you file for bankruptcy, your credit rating is fucked for at least 10 years. It erases your debt and gives you another chance, but it is definitely not the same as if you had never had the debt, in that case your credit would still be perfect and you would not have all the trouble with loans, jobs, and other things that having a bankruptcy on your record brings.
