Hanging out with Knucklehead...

Yeah but what are they going to do with all those old factories and plants??? Seems like there may be some opportunity somehow though the industries are gone. Maybe turn 'em into museums of sorts?

There has been talk about turning that breaker into some sort of museum type thing. It is one of the largest breakers ever built in the country, and one of the few remaining in Pennsylvania.Blue Coal, I guess was a pretty popular brand of coal and was heavilly marketed in the Northeastern U..S. Some of the older Jubbers may remember the radio program ''The Shadow",well Blue Coal used to sponsor it.Here's one of the old corny radio ads..http://www.oldtimeradiofans.com/old_radio_commercials/Blue_Coal.php

It would take millions of dollars to get the place in any kind of reasonably safe condition. The money just isn't there. Not from private foundations interested in preserving it,nor from the state or federal government, especially not now.

Myself, while I'm no engineer,I think the place may be too far gone to do much of anything with. All over the building, many key structural supports are giving way and the floors are collapsing onto eachother.

The owner of the property is considering offers to sell off the place for scrap. It's said to have very high grade steel in it,and lots of it.

Very nice place Knucklehead. ;)

You guys are awesome. I love you two.

The LOVE machine? Is there a reason why it's called that?

And Swerve: nice camera work BUT you didn't focus on Knuckelhead's ass when you were walking upstairs.

Thanks Elvin.I kinda like it here.I kinda like it out here.

About the car,"the love machine" is a good name for it.What the hell else would you call a rusted out antique Chevy that just wont die..

I'm not gonna venture into where Ted should have been filming..lol

Then I shall wait.

Or look me up on Xtube..

Hey I was born in Penn :)

I love the accent by the way....

What part? Who's accent, mine or Ted's? Ted is from down south, my accent is Hungarian.

I'll delicately step over the topic of filming Kenny's ass (which I've seen in person), and just mention what a great photographer he is.

That slideshow and soundtrack were outstanding!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! :D (!) ..|

Really glad I signed onto JUB and saw this thread straight away! It was great to see roads that I've been on (right at the beginning from New York State into Pennsylvania)! Brought back some fun memories! In fact, it was on the way to stay at K's old house in Connecticut, haha!!

Looks like you're in a nicer area now, and wow, you have so much more space! Your new house is MASSIVE compared to your old apartment!

Hope you both had lots of fun! Loved the quote near the end.. "No parking.. Yeah whatever!" haha!! :p

Hey Millzy...Yeah,you remember the place in Connecticut..lol..This place is a regular mansion compared to that apartment.Four times the size and half the price..

That breaker was in a neighboring town, and they only have 2 cops. One works days, the other nights. So you can be pretty much assured your not gonna get hassled for anything there..

Born in Abington, lived in Glenside :)

I love Ted's accent too, but I was referring to yours

I had to look that place up.You weren't too far from me..I was just messing with you,I'm not really from Hungary,I'm from New York..;)
