I am pretty happy---I thought about changing it because I have had so many changes in my life since joining but Alley has become very "comfortable"

It was not my first choice when I joined though---I wanted alleycat...but it was taken...all in all probably a good thing.

I'm amazed at the creativity many JUBBERS possess; several usernames are outstanding.

Alley, are you still considering switching it up? What would you switch too? I like BigDaddy4you, or Bigtop4you. They suit you.

I tried on another name for a while, as you remember, and it just didn't fit. This one doesn't really fit my personality, but it does capture my love of comics, especially The Killing Joke, for which I'm named.

It's how people know me on here, and I've been using it since college online chat days in the late 80s, so for better or worse, it's who I am here.

I do understand members wanting to change their user names but do they really realise the confusion it sows amongst us all.

All my impressions of and the way I relate to members are linked to recognising their user name. If it changes I have no idea who you are and it may take several months before I realise they are one and the same person.

back in the mid 1980s, I came across a site that wanted me to register. It asked me to choose a username. I tried several from my name on, and seems all were taken.

That day a co-worker said to me: "You must have been a dink when you were a kid". So I typed in dink and it was "unacceptable". So I changed the i to a y and a big screen came up saying:
