  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Have you ever received or given Flowers to another Guy? Tell us what your Favorite Flower is.

No.
My favorite flower is gardenia.
I have about fifty gardenias in my yard. The "August Beauties" bloom in the spring and again in the fall. The yard smells fantastic when the bushes are in bloom. We fill the house with them too. Love them!

Nope, but a guy gave me chocolates.... it was so sweet of him!

My favorite flowers are Orchids.

Many times.

When I lived in Delft I'd buy my husband some about every two/three weeks (that's how long they would last). After we move to Amsterdam, I would buy them for him as well, even after he didn't want me to live at his place anymore.

Once I even brought some pink lysianthus to a couple I fisted. Looked just like their rosebuds. (Lisianthus can look very much like thornless roses with very thin stems).
Now that I think of it, I brought nigella (a very seasonal flower) for an African American fuckbud.

Li'l Bit once bought flowers and chocolates for his first boyfriend. Nobody ever buys Li'l Bit flowers.

Li'l Bit doesn't have a favorite flower, but he does like purple.

His favorite flour is whole wheat, pre-sifted.

The flower for LilBit is called "giant hogweed".

One of the most romantic moments I've ever had was this:

I was visiting a city on business nearby to a guy I was beginning to see. He decided to come visit me for the few days that I was there since he was stationed 40 minutes away. When he arrived, I opened my hotel room door to a gorgeous, tall, army boy standing before me in his uniform holding a big bouquet of flowers with a dashingly handsome smile.

*sigh* Memories.

Lots of times.
My favorite is purple iris.

I'll admit that some flowers impact me very negatively. And I have a hard time explaining why. But, just for fun, I'll try to describe one.

Take the stargazer lily. It looks like...like it tried to be really pretty. And failed miserably. Like a really drunk woman completely failing at putting on make-up. The color scheme is garish. The red spots on the petals look like a mistake. The stamens look way too big, and have those weird hot dogs at the end. When I see a stargazer lily, I can picture t screaming "I 'M A PRETTY FLOWER!! LOOK AT HOW PRETTY I AM!! I MADE MYSELF LOOK VERY VERY PRETTY!" It's just...wrong.

Like I said, very hard to explain. :)

Ok, that's it. (knocks flowers out of JW's hand) I'd say someone needs a little taste of the gargoyle "stamen". Back against the wall - this won't hurt a bit. Unless you want it to, of course.

^Really? I think it's beautiful...second after white lily though :p

Neither given nor received.

I don't really have a favourite flower. Australia has plenty of beautiful native flora, but most of it is wild/garden material - there aren't many that would be suited for bouquets/vases.

There is an English flower I share my surname with and my surname is fairly unique so I've often wondered if it was named after a relative or ancestor. I'd attach a picture but I don't feel comfortable giving out my real surname.

I don't know how I'd feel if a guy gave me white roses - white roses can be interpreted to mean the END of a relationship!

Although it's also my favourite song on the subject. (sorry about the quality)

".....yellow roses are for jealousy, but you
don't send me them, you send
the ones that say we're through....."

You think you can decrease my horniness level with FLOWERS? If you tickle my scrotum with them as you suck me off, maybe.

Hm. (jots that down for potential hookup activity)

Stargazers are best left in the garden. My lilies are enormous, and the fragrance really is overpowering – sickeningly sweet.

But while looking through some of my gardening photos, I remembered that I did give a guy flowers once.

I grew these in my solarium just because they are fascinating plants, but I had no use for them afterwards. So I cut them, made a nice little arrangement, and gave them to a special friend.

I think he dried them, but I doubt that he still has them.

Kind of romantic, though, I suppose.

I've recieved flowers on rare occasions. Usually in the form of live tea roses, that I plant either in the garden as annuals or in large pots I can overwinter on my sunporch.
I can't recall ever giving another guy flowers though.
My favourite flowers are any of the Asiatic lillies, prefferably in solid colors.
