Josh ... perhaps that is a "Previous Memory" of yours, from when you may have been here, before. Yes, I am familiar with "Regression Therapy", and quite a few other things, but that's a different topic.
As for ghosts ...
I'm a Preacher's Kid, from a long line of Clergymen. "Black Sheep", actually, since I'm the first male, in generations, that didn't go into The Church. But, that's another story, too.
The point is, we tended to move every 3-5yr. Many of our "homes" were old Parsonages (Manses/Vicarages to you, Mills.), a few quite big. All old buildings have their own sounds, and personalities, but, in some, we were living with "something more".
I have quite a few stories of "whisperings", seeing small things moving, waking up to rearranged furniture, lights coming on, doors closing by themselves, strange "premonitions", etc. However, I can not claim to have ever seen a figure. (Though Dad does have a picture of one.)
There was a time when Dad was convinced we had a poltergeist. Did a lot of research into that. I remember him coming to the conclusion that it was my middle sister manifesting things during puberty. (No. I'm not kidding. But, it is something I can still kid her about!)
In one place we had a ghost that Dad named "Geoffrey", after a ghost that, supposedly, lived with John Wesley ... founder of The Methodist Church. (John's brother, Charles, was Queen Victoria's chaplain.)
"Geoffrey" must have liked us, because he moved with us from the old parsonage when a new one was built while we lived there. We also thought he came along on our next move to a new town, but, it turned out to be someone different, who was probably already there, in our "new" old house.
All in all, my entire family took it all in stride, as though it was the most natural thing to have ghosts around.
I think there may be one, or two, in this house, too. But, they don't come around very often.
I could tell you specific stories, but I'm not sure JUB has that much server space!
Have I ever seen a ghost? No. Do I believe in ghosts? Absolutely! Am I afraid of ghosts? Absolutely not. More curious/interested than anything ...
Of course, no matter what ...
Keep smilin'!!
