Yes I've had four cockatiels, three parakeets, and a cat as an adult. Growing up and with my family, I had a dog, several cats, a couple of parakeets, and a couple of goldfish and a turtle which didn't last long.

To be honest, that has turned out to be my reality, as a number of endeavors in my life have proven to be unsuccessful. But then again, maybe my values have been more along the lines of finding out about life, and not so much about "proving" myself or pursuing an agenda to make me look good to others. I certainly have never been in the position "to save the world."

Have you ever met someone you knew after losing contact with them for many years, and found out that you don't get along, or that your values are completely different from theirs?

Yes , I had a doctor friend ( gal ) who we clashed with , but we managed to keep our friendship alive , but then we clashed awfully cus she is the type of person who always wants to be right , so we blocked eachother .... after a year passed , we unblocked eachother but we seldom talk to eachother anymore . My values are completely different from hers ... our ways of thinking , but what I liked about her is that she was straightforwarfd and told me shit on my face unlike other female friends who I took distance from as well ...

No, I have never tried to revive a relationship. What's interesting though, is that my ex tried to revive our relationship several months after we broke up. He was a nice enough guy, but I could only think about what it was like with him. For him, the relationship was all about "us," but somehow all my individual personal needs seemed to have never gotten met, and by then I was experiencing my newfound personal freedom, and finally was growing where I had long been stifled.
