Have you ever...

No, but I've always wanted to re-enact the storyline from Janet Jackson's "Any Time, Any Place" video with one.

Have you ever been hit on by a neighbor?

Have you ever been hit on by a neighbor?
Umm.. Not really sure with a few, but a couple of times yes.

Have you ever been hit on by your neighbor?

No, but a friend of a neighbor hit on me once. Miss Ma'am was barking up the wrong tree. 😋

Have you ever seen a shrink?

I saw a therapist for a bit, yes. I loved it. Learning about oneself.

Have old were you when you got your driver's license?

No, but a friend of a neighbor hit on me once. Miss Ma'am was barking up the wrong tree. 😋

Have you ever seen a shrink?
I can't drive a car but I can ride a bike

I have seen therapists but the ones in my town are mediocre so I dropped out

Have you ever felt like dropping out from school ? ( I have )

Not drop out per se, but when I was in High School I had it arranged so that I needn't attend a full roster of classes on campus but instead I could enroll at the local college and apply the grades I earn there to my scholastic records. I chose that as opposed to formally testing out of the underwhelming academic atmosphere of my Junior and Senior year. This was a more challenging option. It was more fun. I also liked being with the older guys. (wink wink. nudge nudge)

Have you ever sacrificed something of yourself to help facilitate the realization of someone else's dream?

I guess I did, in a sense, but it was more complicated than that. About 30 years ago I moved with my lover at the time to Tampa, so he could complete his college graduation. To do that I had to give up my pursuit of a graduate degree, but I was going on 7 years in the program, and I was stuck on a thesis that was going nowhere. So giving that up may have been a blessing in disguise.

About a couple of other questions asked on here, I got into therapy soon after I moved to Tampa, basically to find out why my life was so fucked up. I finally made lots of progress on finally figuring things out, and yes, I finally had to realize that the things that happened to me when I was young really were that bad, and made for maladaptive ways of dealing with the world as an adult. I didn't know it at the time, but looking back on it, I think it was also preparing me for eventually breaking up with my ex. I had been in counseling several times before, from my teen years on, but all of those sessions just seemed to help me cope with the immediate issues, but never really got to the core of things. I think the last counseling sessions in Tampa worked so well because I was finally ready and willing to to deal with my issues.

As for wanting to drop out of school, I had the opposite problem. I enjoyed school so much that I stayed in it, and kept going back several times after I graduated with my Bachelor's degree. Looking back on it, I think I was trying to avoid dealing with the real world. I don't blame her for it, but I suddenly lost all interest in higher education after my Mother died. What I once saw as the joy of learning became an intolerable burden. All the endless reading and studying for tests, the writing of term papers, having to do projects, etc. became overwhelming, and I no longer had any interest in it. I'm too old for that shit.

Have you ever felt like giving up something, e.g., a job, school, etc., because it became too difficult or the demands became too extreme? Did you?

I never have, but my ex and several members of his family claimed to have seen ghosts.

Have you ever slept with a trans person, whether or not they were dressed as the gender they said they were?

No and I don't think I would like that :(

Have you ever had a trans person as a close friend?

I love people. I love those whom I call friend even more. I don't know that I have often given back as much as I have received from those who have brought so much colour into my life, but I try. I am a blessed man indeed and this overflow of blessings can largely be found in the roster of my social circle.

So many have come. So many have gone. God bless the ones who stayed.

Through the years I've had many women as friends. Now, I won't sleep with them mind you, but they're perfectly fine for shopping with and watching Rom-Coms together. They have been my confidants. They have been my sisters. They have been my Captain Crunch decoder rings helping me to understand some of my earliest confusions about myself. For that I am eternally grateful

I have known staunch Atheists who have held a wealth of belief in love, Its power to change things, and how to generously show it while those of profound spiritual faith so often fell short of the practical application of such an emotion and have much to learn from them.

I once befriended a television personality who ironically had very little of said personality when cameras weren't hot.

There was a dog. Man's best friend as they are called. A Dalmatian who was loyal, playful, and joyously endearing. He was never afraid to show his true spots. You always know just where you stand with someone who stands on four legs.

I've made allies with some of the rarest of individuals...liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats. (don't let your mind explode thinking about it)

As a child I even had brief imaginary friends who seemed as real as the breeze that blows yet like the wind they too were never seen. Each one eventually fading with my age and with the passing of tender innocence.

I've been befriended by hearing impaired persons who were excellent listeners and with the artful and captivating flow of the hands crafted conversation, created grand ideas, and did so with the visually captivating beauty of motion.

I've even watched the "Super-Friends" on TV more times than I care to admit and the one lasting human moral I gleaned from it is that the ability of flight or enhanced speed or cloaks of invisibility, though rather impressive, will never be enough to bring true safety and comfort to someone. I assert that the greatest attribute of a friend is honesty...truthfulness. That is a meta-strength of character.

Yep, I've known many people and yet kept only precious few close to me.

To date though, I've never had a friend who is or has transitioned between genders unless they had already done so prior to my meeting them and I had no knowledge of it. Which might beg the question, "Am I really that close of a friend?", but no one is obligated to divulge their personal business to me for the sole purpose of making me feel as though I am in the know.

Perhaps some day I will meet and come to know someone whose story includes that facet. I would consider it a gift. I have much yet to experience and I always love the learning.

In the meantime, be it Trans-individual, Multi-ethnic, or Pod Person From former planet Pluto, it matters not to me how you chose to define yourself. All that matters to me is your heart and the ability to love. Your smile and the ability to laugh. Your name and whether or not it's proceeded by the phrase "my friend".
