I never went directly to a fortune teller, but I had a friend who was psychic that did my astrological chart and would occasionally give me messages. I had a friend whose friend once gave me a tarot card reading, and I had a reading or two done for me at church fairs.

Yes, I've been in two snowball fights in my life, but I had to leave Florida to do it. I was in one once in March during a geology trip in the Great Smoky Mountains, and the other one was later that year in Geology Field Camp. It was at 10,000 feet in the summer in Utah. It was a warm day, about 80 degrees, but there were snowdrifts left over from the previous winter.

As for the previous question, no, I didn't exactly have to dump a present, but there was one time when a friend gave me and my lover at the time, now my ex, a brand new CD player. Mind you, this was the late 80s, when CDs had just come out. When we opened the gift, the first reaction from both of us was we can't accept this, because the value of the gift far exceeded the level of friendship with that person. We did keep it, mainly because we really needed a CD player, but that was awkward.
