HBO's Game of Thrones. ( No Book Spoilers Allowed -- Go to Hell.)

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

um...:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I did say I am about 300 pages into the first book AND that I have NOT watched the series YET.

Finish the series so you can come sit over here on the nitpickers bench with us.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Maxpowr - I recommend you finish the book and then watch the series on tv. You will be surprised how much of the story from the books makes it onto tv.

The books do get better. After a while, you will be able to keep up with the changing storylines. It was difficult for me too.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Watching the series on cucirca, the books are 12908312908 times better imo, but the show is great too, just the magic of books are always better for me.
The cast is full of great looking guys and girls. Loving the tit and dick shots >:D
Tyrion is so much better than in the book though.

If anyone's interested though Alfie Alan who plays Theon (the dick shot guy) was naked on stage before this, you can see the dick shots in google images. To someone who said he was 7'' flaccid... emmm what? x)

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Did anyone else get their new book today?

Have you started reading??

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Yes I've got it, I must have pre-ordered it at some time in the past because it showed up in my kindle queue at midnight last night.

I'm in the first chapter as we speak. I bet I don't get much sleep tonight.

Is that the preview chapter from the last book?

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

I got mine when Barnes and Noble opened. Loving it.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

So I finished book 5. Well, It was written as well as all the others, but frankly I'm a bit horked off by the cliffhangers, and the lack of resolution of anything, I begin to wonder how GRRM is going to finish at the rate he writes books, because this story isn't ending with the next one.

That said, y'all should read the whole series!!!!

The actor playing Robb Stark, Richard Madden plays a gay character in a new show called Sirens.

He's got 2 books left. I just finished book 5 today, and I agree, too many cliffhangers. :(

Wasn't on board with the actress they chose for Brienne but I'm content to see what they'll do to her for the show, along with Melisandre's actress.

Not that fond of Brienne either .. but that lady is 1,90m tall ... might work ;)

Right? My friend told me how tall she was. I decided then that I'd give her a chance. Can't wait to see Melisandre with red hair and her robe.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Yeah, the actress they got to play Brienne the Beauty isn't near homely enough. Maybe they'll use makeup.

I also don't particularly like who they chose for Margery Tyrell, but maybe that's because the Ann Boleyn character from the Tudors worked my last nerve and I'm projecting. I certainly hope it isn't the actress.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Oh yeah, Melisandre looks perfect, I hope she can act.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

I just finished Game of Thrones today (the book) and I have Clash of Kings eagerly awaiting my reading on my desk. I understand the unfinished plots in the book but I still have one burning question that I hope nobody spoils for me...

WTF is with the bromance between Jon and Sam?

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

^^Sam is like a wounded puppy. Jon is simply watching his back because he knows that left on his own, Sam wouldn't last a week on the Wall. Jon is in big brother mode--despite the fact that Sam is a few years older than him.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

^^^ I understand the pretense behind the relationship. Maybe I am jumping to conclusions, but since the night watch swears off all family, love/sex, children etc. and don't become eunuchs, I figured they were pretty much gay for each other or at least most of them were. Speaking of gay, I find it a bit "queer" that GRRM uses that word a lot in the book.
