but I wouldn't fault you, Sookie, if you took a fuck from Alcide occasionally

For what it's worth, heard and interview from earlier this month featuring Joe (Alcide) and he said he was originally signed to do 6 or 7 episodes but his character gained a huge following and he wound up signing for 6 years (he added if the show runs that long). He has already done two so that leaves 4 more years. I will easily say they can do 2 more years but exactly how they will pull off pushing Bill to the background like he is in some of the books, will be a task since he is a main character of the show and you rarely push main characters to the back burner for extended periods of time.

I don't think anyone would fault her. In fact, that is the sensible thing to do.

With all the weird stuff that goes on in Bon Temps, an open relationship between four supernaturals would be the least weird thing there!

:p

Does anyone think that Russell could have possibly just busted out himself? I mean he is a 3000 year old vampire and incredibly powerful.

I don't think so. If you remember, he was attached to the stripper pole (LOL) at Fangtasia just by chains and he still couldn't get out. I loved when he goes "Oohhh Misssss Stackhouseee!" Lmfao.

And to be perfectly honest for every complaining about how there wasn't a lot of Faeries in this season, all the promo of this season was for "The Season of the Witch". So hopefully they'll go back to that in the 5th season, but only for a little. I hope the faeries wage a giant war with the vampires. Imagine if Russell is leading the faeries against the vampires.

One can dream, can't they.

That would be fantastic!

Then how would Russell keep himself from devouring all the fairys? I'm sure being double crossed by Eric & Bill hasn't made him mild mannered. Unless he could manage to subdue his hunger, he may could use someone in fairyland (maybe Claude since Claudine maybe dead...just odd she was so desperate to get Sookie to come with her all of sudden) so he could get close to Sookie and use it against E & B but I'm reaching, lol.

Although at first I was excited but the idea of vampire starts to get very boring. Have you noticed how many vampires invade our tv/movie screens? All suck BLOOD! How boring is that?

Gay vampire sucks blood too? It's like a gay man marry a woman. Why not gay vampire sucks something else? :p Ok I know it only happens in gay porn world.

But the point is too many vampires, everywhere! So unoriginal :(

More than a little late here, but frankly I LOVED the final episode of this season.

Keep in mind that NO one is ever truly dead on this show, (Much like in Alan Ball's masterpiece,"Six Feet Under") An odd., reoccurring theme in his work.

Jesus is coming back. (His name alone should tell you that)

They'd be foolish to get rid of Tara, she is an anchor in the show.

My only grievance is that "Grams" should not have been killed in Season 1. She was a grounding force in a show that desperately needs one.

And also, while I'm always happy to see Rene, (the sexiest man on the show BY FAR IMO ), why would he come back from the grave still speaking with his faked Cajun accent ?

But, I quibble.

For me, season 4 was far more entertaining than season 3. As mentioned above, the point of the werewolf arc alludes me, unless it was just to get Alcede's abs on the show. (Lord knows he can't act his way out of a wet paper sack  )

I have great hopes for the next season, and I'll bet all you complainers out there are not going to miss one episode, either. You can all bet your fairy vagina's on that.

People get up in arms about TV shows all the time, when something they care about is treated badly. And the characterization of a minority (in this case, a minority religion) on a sufficiently popular TV show can affect how members of that minority are treated in real life.

This isn't trivial or an unreal concern. And if you've never had rocks thrown at you for practicing your religion, you really shouldn't ridicule me for being upset about something like this, because I HAVE had that experience.

If you read the books you would find that in the books Wiccans and Witches are sort of separate.. The Wiccans are religious the witches just cast spells and do the necessary stuff to cast. Sometimes the Wiccans got caught up in the witches... in the books holly is a wiccan i.e how she mainly does protection spells and blessings... Marnie isnt in the books really but she is based off of the witches in the books not the wiccans

So, now that we've gone through vampires, werewolves, witches and fairies, what next season's "monster du jour" ?

Hmm.

Maybe I don't want to know....

Well, then the author is still spreading ignorance. Not all witches are Wiccan, but all Wiccans are Witches. Well, except in traditions where you call yourself Wiccan while studying but don't get to add the title Witch until you're initiated.

And spell-casting isn't essential to Wicca, necessarily, but it's a common part. A spell is a small magic, usually done by an individual. What I saw on that show were group workings, which a) are not spells and b) ARE essential to Wicca.

If a Pagan wrote a series about Christians, and distinguished between Catholics and Christians by the fact that the Catholics just prayed piously, while the Christians actually had SERVICES where they prayed for everyone else to die, this would be the approximately parallel level of accuracy.

Yeah, just as some Christians confuse Immaculate Conception with Virgin Birth, some Wiccans confuse Workings and Spells (a smaller percentage, though, since Wiccans are generally more educated about their religion than Christians are about theirs). But separating out the "good" Wiccans and the "evil" witches is just stupid. And this author is either stupid and ignorant, or a deliberate propagandist against my religion.

I wrote a story (and posted it on JUB) where the gay vampire derives some nourishment from semen, but not as much as from blood. I gave up on it after the current fad for vampires made itself known to me.

Sorry I dont think I made it clear enough.. I encourage you to read the books. I do know a little bit about wicca and the author I found beyond making it a little bit amped up for entertainment didnt insult any of it. In the book there is one "good" witch who isnt religious enough to call herself wiccan and a band of evil witches who are definitely not wiccan.. then there are the more religious wiccans who are in the books who get caught up in either side.. anyways television doesnt do justice to anything since it relies on entertaining stereotypes or insulting ones for that matter.. I would suggest not getting worked up about it..

I who at one time dabbled in Wicca and did read up about didnt find the author to be at all insulting about it. (I stopped dabbling because I found that the other people in my circle mainly just played at it and didnt take he religion or the spellcasting seriously and just pretended to have power etc etc).. you shouldnt assume that you are the sole wiccan on here

No, I don't assume that at all. And I've known Witches like the ones you describe. Usually they don't get beyond dabbling. Too bad you didn't find an established coven to work with.

Btw, capitalize 'Wicca' please. It's the name of a religion, like Presbyterian or Methodist. If we don't show that respect, neither will anyone else. (I once wrote a letter to Entertainment Weekly about their misuse of the term, and asked them to send it to their copyeditors. I don't know that I'm the only one who said anything, but they used the term correctly (and capitalized it!) after that.)
