HBO's "True Blood" [merged]

SOOOOOOOO late to the party, but I finally just started watching the show this month, and I'm getting hooked--and I'm only on the 1st season!!! Not really sure why I avoided the show so long.

Seeing this board revived my True Blood withdrawals, I was doing oooookaaaayyyy. Ugh, can't wait for summer.

All I gotta say is thank God for Spartacus, which has done a great job at filling my True Blood withdrawls!

Might have to up muh netflix account ya'll. Can't wait to get to Joe Manganiello's eps!!! Goddamn....

Never really thought much of him before, but Ryan Kwanten is sooooo stuck in my head these days..|

I gotta say, Season 4 is really pissing me off. I hope the next season is a step in the right direction and away from the formula that has arisen.
A couple of things to pick at.
Why would the witch erase Eric's memory?! Why not just kill him... it just comes off as a sloppy way of getting him and Sookie to smack uglies. I can already see next season Sookie will be getting dogstyled by Alcide's hotdog. Its already been alluded that there is something going on between them. The majority of Season 4 has her being nailed by Eric's hammer. This trope is getting old, Alcide should have no real interest in Sookie other than the author's scripts forcing this eventual conclusion. His motivations are very silly, like a teenager on hormones. Bill and Eric's motivations are that she could be a cure for their present vampiristic conditions, Alcide does not have one. He continues to exist simply because of the tv ratings. This season reminds me of Dante's cove, a horrible show where there is little story and 80% softcore porn. I imagine the following season will bring us an angel/demon/ghost/alien character that Sookie will next fancy. He too will get swallowed up by her giant vagina. Kind of pointless consider that after Alcide is done there, there will be little to no traction left on that gulley hole, like throwing a (!) down an open hallway. It would be cool if they introduced someone who is like Sookie but more powerful but not make her a villain but a contemporary to give her a run for her money. Sookie does not seem to have a challenge, someone who may make her fall down a darker path. Right now, she comes off as a needy and indecisive cockslut with a fetish for supernatural cock. Not that I blame the cunt, Eric being sweet was really cute to watch. I did enjoy Pam through out and like it has been mentioned here, she says the things I was thinking. I hated that Jesus was killed off... that guy was truly beautiful to watch. I already knew that Tara would return so that was not that big of a shock. So I look forward to next season, with trepidation.

Entertainment Weekly features the whole cast on their own covers. Joe Manganiello came in the mail today...

I got the Sookie cover, lol. On the plus side, I got the iPad app so I can download the mag and still get the other cast photos. I've read the TB article and got some new details.

Stop reading if you don't want to know more about the upcoming season...

-Eric has a sister coming to the show. They tease they have an "unusual" reunion. I take it as they will beat the hell out of each other.
-Eric and Bill will team up to find King Russell...Roman (Meloni) says that is what they have to do to not be killed for killing Nan
-Chris Meloni will be banging only chicks (that's what I got from his story) and may not be naked as much as the others lol
- Tara isn't dead and Eric/Bill won't be saving her, Sookie will (not sure how, maybe she will be using her powers along with LaLa's power to bring Tara back
-Ball said he used the current political field for inspiration for the Vampire Authority, as in what would happen if the extremist actually took power and used it
-Sam will get his ass handed to him by the wolfpack (no death, just a beatdown)
-We will also see how Pam came to be
-Anna's pregnacy will NOT be in the show. Appears she and Stephen planned their pregnacy around the shooting of the show
LaLa may dip back into some of his old habits but also will start learning about his powers

It's back!!! I really enjoyed tonights premiere. There were a lot of shockers and unexpected and expected nudity, all good. I don't wanna drop any spoilers at the moment, I will let someone else start, lol. I'm already awaiting next weeks episode. I am glad to say I was wrong about some of my predictions. Apparantly this season will focus on the wolf pack, much nicer than Hot Shit, I mean Shot and I think we will meet Alcide's father.

I enjoyed it a lot more than last season's 'faeryland' opening.

*Spoilers

I couldn't believe that Sookie and Lafayette could be so cruel as to want to turn Tara into the thing she dreaded the most.
Maybe that's why it looks like they're gonna have her not remember the past because of the brain damage?

Anyway, she looks to be a badass vamp. Good luck controlling that one, Pam.

Eric and his 'sister's' sex scene. lol. I'm laughing because I don't have a sister so it didn't creep me out too much.

We saw Sam's lovely ass again. Thank you.
We saw Andy's ass, um, okay?

I like the way the previews show the storyline going with Hoyt. Mmmm. Very interesting.

I thought it was a great premiere and most of the storylines that were introduced aim at going in a different more surprising direction. I'm glad they are moving away from the Bill/Sookie/Eric story although it was a little unbelievable that Eric didn't want to run and rescue her. I loved how Pam was used in the episode too, she's such a great character. The episode was fresh and very exciting.

^ It is funny.
Actually, he said he was gay all along but can now admit it.

I thought he was 'gay' when he was on in season 2. He just has that look. Plus, who wouldn't be hot for Jason?

I want to see more of that waitresses (What's her name? The witch?) boys.

The one who tapped the Sheriff's ass with the rifle could get it.
