HBO's "True Blood" [merged]

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

When Sam showed Sookie in the very beginning of the episode what he can do, and she goes "Shut the fuck up!" I laughed my ass off!

Sam's childhood sucked. That was sad. :(

I thought that they had said how a vampire is made? I could be mistaken, but when Bill got bit by that lady, he had to then drink her blood or he would die. There could be more steps, but I dunno.

I do know that I am 100% completely obsessed with this show. Holy shit, it is so good.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

I know what you mean, babe...

But, I dunno...

The show, at least to me, seems to have lost it's focus somewhat.

I can't help but notice that Alan Ball hasn't written or directed an episode in some time. I guess he's just there 'overseeing' everything, or what ever, but parts of this last episode seem silly to me.

Just a coincidence that the lady who performed the 'exorcism' is found working at a drug store in a wig. Umm. OK. As it turns out she has lots of kids, one with diabetes, so drowning a possum on the side is just a justifiable way of making a little extra cash.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

^ I didn't see that one coming, quite honestly! I thought that yeah, here's two fucked up women that have "demons" inside of them.

I did feel bad for the girl at the end. Poor Jessica. :(

And why am I just realizing that Amy was Janis from "Mean Girls?" I love that movie!

Anywho, I was shocked when Amy did what she did (I don't want to give anything away.) I was like holy shit, um, there's going to be some serious repercussions when you do that. Idiot!

Still love the show! ..|

OMG! She is Janice from Mean Girls. I've been thinking about Mean Girls scenes all week how did I not get that?#-o

Hourly retard moment aside, I'm absolutley in love with this show! Why isn't it next Sunday yet?! Watching Rene dance was so hot, when he talks I get horny. Sam's childhood was really sad, it's always so tragic when people have flashbacks of their childhood. I really thought the whole demon thing was real from the way Terra was shaking, and the "demon" appearing, and the blood from nowhere on the knife. Bill"s coming home to Sookie kissing Sam, yay! Oh, I was dying when Terry went, "There's some dead people I wish were here too."

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

Oh, fuck me !!

I *knew* I recognized her from somewhere....

Thank you! I was thinking the same shit. I think it's cause the characters are so far apart. Plus her hair worn long just throws me off.

This is so frustrating.

Why dont they want to tell us how a vampire is made by a "maker"

Layfayette has a hot body.

I think they've already shown us. So we know that humans can drink vampire blood and it heals them, gets them higher than Jesus, makes them stronger, turns them into fuck bunnies, and they don't turn into vampires, right? The vampirism is supposed to be cause by a "virus", so this shows that the virus isn't in a vamps blood. When they showed Bill being turned the key part was that she bit him, then he drank her blood. So I think the virus is stored in their fangs, when they bite someone the virus spreads through their body, but oh no! The virus can't survive on the normal human blood, so the vampire has to introduced some of their already infected blood into the human's system. Instead of getting them high, the infected blood, together with the virus , take over the human blood and turn the person vampiric.

Just what I think though.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

^

Ok, i did some reasearch and this is what i found.

The vampire drains the humans body until near death; then the human drinks some of the Vampires blood and then the human body dies and 2 - 7 days later the Vampire rises.

Although you have early risers that wake up a few hours after being turned.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

So, who/what was that thing Tara found (and nearly ran over) by the road?

I want Amy to have a slow painful death in the hands of the vampires :grrr:

I didn't get a good look at it. Thought it was a llama and girl or something. Damn I was close on my vampire theory

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

^ Well, I guess you got your wish ;)

Was I the only one that noticed Mary Ann was the "woman" that ran Tara off the road in the first place? WTF?

And Drew Marshall? Is that....Andy?

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

*edit*

Oops, I thought you were talking about Mary Ann :D

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

I haven't been following the discussion, but:

I like how they're geographically accurate. I-49 is mentioned (which runs from Shreveport to Lafayette, Louisiana), other small LA towns are mentioned...

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

Why does Drew Marshall look like my Rene?

lololol. You guys have an interesting surprise in store.

How did you know about Rene? Is it in the books?

Rene :( say it aint so, not my Rene :cry::cry:

Hopefully its not really him because its too obvious to be him so maybe the killer will be someone else but not my Rene

Why do i always fall for the bad guys. First Sylar, now Rene :( not my Rene.

Before Amy killed Eddie i liked her alot; but i still felt bad that she died.

Tara and her mom? What an intense and raw scene, both actresses nailed it although i dont know if Tara had to use all those expletives. As mad and disappointed as i could be with my mother no way in hell i could talk to her like that lol.

The pig lady Maryann and Tara that looks interesting.

Jessica was annoying and immature and since she died she is unlikely to experience any growth.

Sookie? What a bitch, i never had a problem with her until tonight with the way she treated Bill.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

Fuck! So many annoying characters on the show right now...it's starting to lose it's appeal quite frankly.

Sookie turned into an annoying brat, Jason's an annoying and dumb stupid fuck, Sam's a lil' better now (probably because Bill was out of the way for some time) but still a bit annoying...list goes on.

Ryan was running around in his briefs again this week.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought Sookie was behaving like a selfish brat. I know she's the star of the show, but it's kind of irksome that EVERYBODY is interested in her. I felt bad for poor Tara, but at least her subplot with Mary-Ann looks intriguing.

And I agree about Jason. Physically, he a sexy guy but he's repulsive at the same time. Sure he's as dumb as a box of rocks but there's something more than that...it's like he's got some serious holes in his soul. I think he's kind of creepy.

And I had a bad feeling about Renee ever since his little proposal scene. There was some ominous foreshadowing in that...

Otherwise, I was little sorry they killed off Amy so soon. I thought it would have been more interesting if she got turned into a vampire herself.

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

You're too nice... I wanted her flayed little by little

Bloodthirsty! LOL! Well she deserves to be flayed, I guess. I was shocked at how she unceremoniously killed that poor vamp. Maybe they should have let Jessica get at her. There's some poetic justice to having a sociopathic hippychick meet her end at the hands of a gleefully homicidal home-schooled vampire. :corn:

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

I dunno. I have to watch the episode again, but my feeling is that this show has really 'gone off the rails' a bit.

The scenes with Bill and that bitchy... I can't even remember her name, the 'new' vampire Bill just 'made' were downright silly. Really broke the tone of the show for me....

Too many story lines going in too many directions. I'm not even sure what Alan Ball has to do with all of this, he's not written a thing in 10 episodes.

But, I think I've figured out who the murderer is.... ;)

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

^ Have faith, my friend. :)

I think Alan Ball knows exactly where he wants the series to go.

At several times this past episode, I caught myself with my mouth open. Like when they showed the dinner table, I knew Amy was done for (and especially after the killer walked in, obviously.)

The symbolism between SFU and TB are kind of similar, but at the same time different. Thinking about it, I loved how Amy flew up in the air during their trip on V, signifying she really is gone "in the air."

It's the smaller details in the show that I love, and will continue to watch it :D

Also, I don't think Sookie is a bitch. Bill made it quite evident from the second episode that if she was in trouble, he'd be there ASAP. It's a sense of security that has been made evident since then, and then all of a sudden she was attacked at the bar and he didn't show up. Just emotion being shown between the characters, imho ..|

Tara and her mother's scene was powerful. I agree that I'd never talk to my own mother that way, but after what Tara's been through, it seems normal.

Mary Ann....hmmm....why did she run Tara off the road in the first place?

Sorry for the ramblings!

Re: HBO's "true Blood" [merged]

Bill told her he would be back. Sookie should have at least let him explain.

Not even 2 days and she is swapping spit with Sam, total hypocrite slut.

She saves her virginity for the "right man" but chases him out the house not letting him say a word.

Talking about Bill putting vampire politics over her when she knew the severity of Bills actions.

Sookie is selfish, slutty and ungrateful.

Thats a grade A bitch to me.
