Yesterday was my partner's birthday. We had friends and family over for our party. We celebrate our birthdays togther as mine 6 days later. Anywhoooo.. I took a risk and decided to ask him to marry me. I debated for weeks on whether to give him the ring and propose in front of everyone or to wait for a private moment. When I opened his birthday card he gave me, it was the exact same card I gave him. I knew right then and there it was the right thing to do. I didn't see his reaction to opening the box, but I was told his eyes popped out when he unwrapped the box. He accepted without hesitation (I guess after the eyes popped back into his head). Everyone was as shocked as he was. So looks like we have a wedding to plan.
Congratulations! It's a wonderful thing!

there is hardly any Canadian gay marriage sites that cater to us. Everything is so hetro wedding with blurbs about gay marriage in Canada but nothing in the way of supplies etc. Someone is missing out on a huge enterprise with potential to make lots of money. One would be surprised there is so little canadian content. The gay marriage sites I have come across all are US based sites. Which also surprises me considering gay marriages are not legal (except Mass.) All the stuff I find to order are all shipped from the U.S which means duty charges and rate exchanges). I did find a gay site that has limited gay wedding stuff so at least I ordered the cake two grooms topper.
