Here are some facts: Every Administration, Republican or Democrat, has tasked Inspector Generals with the mandated responsibility to work with law enforcement to ferret out waste, fraud and abuse. Until Trump. One of the first things that Trump 2025 did was fire the Inspector Generals, including the IG for HHS and CMS.

I will make one clarification to this: I'm defending the good work of civil servants for the past 40 years, regardless of who occupied the Oval Office or the centers of power on Capitol Hill.

America hasn't had a far left government since maybe FDR? Even LBJ, who did enact a lot of social healthcare legislation, wasn't exactly a socialist given his investments in anti-Communist programs and wars. The governments since FDR, with the exception of Trump 2025, have been center-left and center-right.

Until the current Administration, all Presidents have been good stewards of public money spent on healthcare. What has changed is the sophistication of the criminals. The hastily put-together pandemic programs of 2020-2021 resulted in $490 million in fraud convictions. Those criminals moved at lightning speed to figure out the weak points in the billing process to submit false claims to Medicare. Biden, who was a center-left President, had an FBI, HHS, DOJ and CFPB that doggedly pursued waste, fraud and abuse to recover billions in fraudulent Medicare claims, as did the Presidents before him.

There's a lot smoke being generated to cover-up what is going on in the current Administration- getting rid of oversight and creating fictional claims of "waste, fraud and abuse" that are never documented, but are being used as an excuse to enact the defunding of the social safety net. It was laid out in the Project 2025 instruction manual. People interested in getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse don't fire all the Inspectors General whose job it is to find waste, fraud and abuse.

Underlying a lot of this is the "do your own research" belief from a public that doesn't have a basic comprehension of science.

For example, they believe that a viral infection is good for the immune system, kind of like taking a walk is good for the cardiovascular system. What science tells us is that the way a virus works is that it hijacks cells, inserts its DNA or RNA into the human cells to take over the cell, in order to make copies of the virus. The DNA/RNA from the virus permanently alters the cell, even after the person "gets well".

This lack of basic understanding of biology became apparent after the mRNA vaccines became available, when there was a group of people were opposed to the vaccine because "it altered their DNA". Uh, that's exactly what happens when a virus infects a human and the consequences of a virus altering your DNA is far more dangerous.

That's why people who get HPV get warts or cancer. It's why some people who get infections like viruses like EBV or CMV get cancers. It's why pregnant women who get rubella have miscarriages or have children born with severe birth defects. It's why children who get measles end up with damaged immune systems. It's why a mild case of childhood chickenpox can result in a miserable case of adult shingles. And those are just the long-term effects that we know about.... there are a lot of adult diseases that we are finding out are the consequences of childhood viral infections.

Similarly, it makes no sense that we would want a child to be infected by a virus, when we can safely condition their immune system with a vaccine in order to recognize the virus without needlessly allowing the virus to infect them, hijack their cells and permanently alter their cells.

United Healthcare (UHCG) and Athem/Blue Cross are two insurance companies that we are most likely to have a horror story about. They are also the biggest private insurers - they own your health insurance policies, the pharmacy benefit managers, the claims processing companies and even retail pharmacies.

An actress on "The Righteous Gemstones" recently posted her own story about dealing with UHCG and their "authorization" process. The post was removed multiple times, apparently at UHCG's request. So, not only does UHCG not follow their own authorization appeals process, they also pressure social media platforms to remove any complaints about them.

And they wonder why there's a group of Americans who want to dump private insurers and have a public option?
