Heckler calls Sarah Palin a whore

one of them is a half-term governor/failed VP candidate and the other is some chick who got knocked up in high school.

why would anyone listen to or care about anything they have to say?

progressive's obsession with her is just mystifying. I'd live a content life if the media never acknowledged her existence again. and not because she makes the Republican party look bad, but because she's completely irrelevent to the world.

I don't recall this kind of rabid fascination with, like, Jack Kemp in 1997 or John Edwards in 2005 (and both of them actually completed terms in office)

edit: and if having sex outside of marriage or going to a bar when you're under 21 makes someone a whore, who on this forum isn't guilty?

Loki, what's really mystifying is the right-wing obsession with her. They even used her as a VP candidate. That's why she's an oddity.

I've actually gotten the chance to spend some time in Wasilla, Alaska that the Palins are so quick to identify as "their home." It told me a lot when people in the community expressed their distaste for the Palins.

When John McCain asked Ms. Palin to be his running mate, I have to admit I was intrigued that he would nominate a woman from a non-populated state as his running mate. I actually thought President Obama would likely ask Hillary to be his just to keep up (but I think she is far more valuable as Secretary of State -- and her staff thinks so as well).

Most adults in Wasilla don't think too highly of Ms. Palin or her clan. It likely started when she made her famous "I sold the state plane on E-Bay" comment. You can't get to the state's capital without flying; you can't get to most of the state without flying since there are no roads and it is one of the few states with more pilot's licenses than driver's licenses. So Ms. Palin's ignorance and "30 second sound bites began."

As I heard her speak, I realized more and more that she wasn't so much looking to be a running mate as to run for the bucks. After the election, it certainly "did get better." She quit as governor; she is the one that sought out the media any chance she gets, including her silly ass bus tour this past summer that baited the media to follow. I was personally offended because friends had to wait for Ms. Palin's "entourage" so they could enjoy what she was given as a VIP (and likely against the law).

Her daughter has danced with the stars and sought as much opportunity to cash in as has her momma. Add in the jilted ex-lover/daddy of the baby and you have quite the opportunity for a remake of the Beverly Hillbillies except the original ones had much higher ethics.

If I seek the spotlight and get it -- I'm sorry but it also comes with the opportunity to show my warts as well as my best.

I am amazed by the unpoliteness shown to many who are in the spotlight. When "The Real World" was filmed in DC, I met and went out on nights the cast was filming (and one of my friends is featured arguing in one scene). But they faced a lot of crap from drunks, from those who were jealous, and just idiots who had no class but thought they, too, may make the film footage. The actors admit that they were warned ahead of time about what might occur, however.

I don't agree with the "in your face" approach taken by the guy in this case; there are options for public debate that should be followed (although even politicians seem ignorant of that form of discussion anymore). He can blog, he can Facebook, he can do whatever he wants but I think he was equally uncouth.

I did have to wonder what a 20 year old was doing in a bar (unless it was 18+). And the Palin family has used the media to go from broke to millionaires. I doubt Sarah will run because it would mean giving it all up and having to answer questions from other-than-FOX-friendly hosts.

I've had a few posts here deleted - for taking the locals to task especially the irresponsible one for creating this train wreck of a thread

calling her a whore is unacceptable

just like calling us "fags" is unacceptable

support of either is unacceptable

have fun boys

Bristol Palin is 20. Drinking age in California (as is everywhere) is 21. How did she get in the bar in the first place? Will there be charges against those selling her alcohol?

Sarah Palin is a neglectful, terrible mother and so is Bristol.

The Bush twins were drug and booze hounds too, just like their father.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
