HELP! I Caught My Dad Watching Porn

we are all guilty of saying one thing and doing something else. so what if your dad is watching porn? we all need to get off somehow. if i were you i would just let it go. in the future when he rails against the evils of porn you can just tune him out because you will know he's just like everybody else.
 
Well - I may not be your father - and I may not be (arf arf) totally straight...but I am probably much closer to his age than yours.

It always surprises me that people in (say) their 20's always think that the prior generation 'haven't lived'. (If only they knew...)

Errrm - sorry - we probably did everything you did, made all the mistakes you are making now (and then some) so please don't be surprised if you find out that we were also fucking our brains out in our mid teens, we also like watching porn - and all sorts of other things. ;)

He's your dad - of course he's not going to admit to you that he gets off on porn - but he doesn't belong to another species!

Oh - and just as a follow up - something I heard on the radio today. The local Indie station was asking people to phone in with details of any 'inappropriate advice' they had received. One girl responded that she had once asked her mother "what were you doing when you were my age" (20)?

The reply? "A lot of acid". (LOL)...I can relate to that...:badgrin:
 
How do you know hes not some kind of Porn addict or something, has been hurt by it and is trying to protect you from bcoming hurt yourself?
 
Don't just say anything. Everyone has a right to watch porn. Conservatives watch more porn in fact.

You know regardless of what your father does in secret
and what he tells you in person; hypocrisy is never good.
Especially when you're caught.
 
depends on his judgmental pronouncements and actions. If he goes into some tirade - moral debauchery, sins, depravity, etc. - then let him have it. usually the ones who are the most disgusted about an issue are also the ones involved in the issue secretly.

I agree with ding - I'd keep it under your hat - for now. When he starts his holier-than-thou rants, just let him know that you're fully aware of his 'dirty little secret' and that he needs to practice what he's preaching!

To the OP: Let it be. It's none of your business, and so what if he lectured you on the "evils of pornography"? You actually thought he was sincere?
 
What would you want him to do if he caught you watching porn???
