Heroes Season 3: Villians [merged]

^I was wondering about the same thing. I really think that the writers are making things up as they go along, and that that scene was written/shot, BEFORE they decided on the Future Peter storyline. Another reason I have given up on this show. It had such promise the first season........

-Killing off Niki/Jessica and keeping Ali Larter as a different character is dumb. At least we might find out what the hell their story is from Dr. Zimmerman. Also, Niki seemed remarkably unharmed for having died in a huge explosion. That must have been one nasty scratch on her forehead. I also think it's crap how the writers just completely dropped Monica and now, apparently, Micah, too. So much for the Sanders family.

-Could Sylar be redeemed? That's not the path I had expected the writers to take him on. It could be interesting. The Angela Petrelli-is-Sylar's-mother storyline is a bit random, but at least they're breathing some new life in Sylar's character. He was getting tedious. And it's good to see them giving Mama Petrelli something to do this season instead of just wandering around being a bitch and saying ominous things. She's still doing that, of course, but at least she seems to have a purpose when she does it now.

-I'm already very tired of the Future Peter/Present Peter storyline. They need to drop it. One Peter is whiny enough. And when did Milo Ventimiglia's mouth stop working? He can't seem to open both sides at the same time.

-We need more Elle. Period.

-It was nice to see the Haitian again...even though it makes no sense to not send him along with Noah to wrangle up the Villains. How is someone who can completely disable another person's super-human abilities not the absolute perfect companion to bring along while trying to capture very bad people with very bad super-human abilities? And, oh yeah...can't he also erase their minds? Doesn't that then make him the perfect weapon against Sylar since he can disable his abilities and then erase all of his knowledge of how to use them?

-That being said, I really enjoy the dynamic between Sylar and Noah. Them being partners should be fun. Their scenes were the best part of tonight's episode, which, overall, I thought was pretty good. It wasn't as good as last week's premier, but it kept me entertained.

Heroes pumped out one great season with season one. Season two sucked but I blamed the writers strike. Now season 3 is not making sense and the characters are all different people even if they are the same person. Hiro is gonna make me stop watching the show all together. "I must save the world." Give me a fucking break! I don't even like Claire this season. Now they have another stupid future painter, an ice(wo)man, a banshee, and a spider-man. Marvel needs to start a law suit.

Banshee's dead, and so is Magneto! That German was kinda cute, too. Claire's brother is also pretty cute. I hope he gets a bigger part soon.

I think Marvel's already on the boat with this show. Didn't Stan Lee make a cameo as a bus driver?

Who didn't see a mile a way Hiro failing yet again??

Why didn't Sylar kill both the banshee boy and the fear man?? He needs to learn how to focus better. Sylar is a very hungry boy. I hope he's also hungry for some cock! It's a shame the other two hotties on the show are now his brothers!

How come fire lady could breath and Claire couldn't?? Claire should have waited for her powers to make it so she wouldn't need to breath. Claire still doesn't know how to fight and she's just jumping into the proverbial fire. Hopefully she can be resourseful like Kity Pryde would be. She should go get that cute flying boy to help her out.

I wonder if Claire's real mom can cover herself in fire and fly around like Johnny Storm or that other Superfriend.

Wow Claire's torture scene was intense.

Micah found his Aunt :) although it was weird that Zimmerman said created instead of delivered you.

I am so glad Sylar is being redeemed i felt bad about being attracted to a killer.

So he does eat something to get the powers.

I am attracted to the african and the way he talks and when he says "Pakman"

I hope Monica survived.

So he does eat something to get the powers.

I don't think his "hunger" is a rumble in his tummy to eat some brain. Although, Kanye made "brain" a euphemism for oral sex, and they do like to quote or make references to other pop-culture things....

Re: Official Heroes: Volume 3: Villains thread

I read a spoiler that niki/jessica and tracy are clones, genetically engineered by the company to basically be comicbook-type superheroes. Looks like Lauri will always have a job playing clones on the show no matter how many of them get killed off.

who is lauri?
her name's Ali Larter. lol lauri?

and i wonder what elle's storyline will be. shes my favorite character, well west was untyil they removed his character along with monica my other favorite character.

anyone know whats going to ahppen with elle. all i know is she has 4 more episodes left until shes off the show for good so that can't be well for her character

!oops!
Sorry, I'm actually very slightly dislexic.

A shame or fuel for even dirtier Heroes fantasies?

EWWWWWWWWWWWW! You're naughty! ;)

Yeah, it's good to see him engaged in some sort of internal conflict, rather have him just be a one-dimensional psycho. I don't think, however, that his "hunger" is refering to a physical need--more like it's a compulsory thirst for power, fueled by his ability. I think his ability has made him addicted to power, and acquiring new talents is like getting his next fix.

Oh my that "german" was so funny.
And then the popcorn in the cinema. I have no idea how they came up with the idea to call it "Puffmais" :rotflmao:

I have mixed feelings about the 3rd season so far. On the upside I like the pacing and what they are doing with Ma Petrelli. Even the twist of Sylar and Noah working together, though implausible, is kind of interesting. I'm glad too that they are allowing Mohinder to be hot for at least 5mins. He's a really sexy guy. But it still irritates me that Peter and Claire are still the center of everything because I think they're the most uninteresting characters on the show (not to mention that now we have to endure two emo Peters).

Hiro's arc bugs me too as he and Ando are basically written as bumbling children who have failed yet another mission. Again the whole purpose of Hiro's subplot seems to be to introduce a KEWLer new blond character that upstages him -- much like his pointless feudal Japan subplot in season 2. And what is the point of Parkman's "spiritwalk"? Can't we just have a character that sees the future without having to paint it (much less render it in a comicbook style that looks silly on an African landscape)?

i enjoyed monday night's episode but i am getting a little tired of hiro & ando. not so much the characters but the way they are written to be sort of... dumb. i think they deserve better.

i was really intrigued with sylar's "partnership" and i have to admit i am curious to see what they do with this.

and i guess this episode settles nikki's situation once and for all. i wonder what will become of micah?

all in all? i give it a b+.

Yeah, it seems sort of strange. But I guess I like it. What happened with all the characters from Season 2? The muscle memorizer, that annoying girl played by Kristen Bell...

I can only assume that the weird out of left field feeling is due to the writers actually hating the direction Season 2 went. I had heard that they wanted to do a restart (retcon?) and maybe this is it.

Or maybe we just need to be patient like everyone who watched Buffy needed to be in Season 5 when they introduced Dawn like she was always there. I don't think we found out what the deal was with her until 5 episodes in or something.

Resident Heroes nerd here to answer a few things!

1.) Monica, rather the actress who played her, left the show. The writers didn't cut her but she left on her own accord. I can't find any articles detailing why she left (check out the 10th Wonders Podcast for some info on her leaving) but my understanding is they are leaving her character open to return later in the future. BUT for now, Dana Davis is no longer with the show.

As for Niki looking too nice for a funeral...Since it's a large image and kind of disgusting, see the link here: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hM91Q1377...WkJDAPHws/s1600-h/ali+larter+w:o+sunblock.JPG

Either that's a deleted scene that didn't get used, or is upcoming. As a fan of 'Six Feet Under', it's not that hard a jump to suggest that Niki underwent massive reconstructive preparation to ensure the family could have an open casket at her funeral.

2.) I agree with you on Sylar's turn to the seeming good side and Mama Petrelli having more to do. Angela's always been an interesting character, even if she is complex and sometimes hard to understand intention wise; but she's just one of those characters you can't help but like.

3.) We don't need two Peters; but I think judging by next week's preview...That's a problem that is likely going to be fixed.

4.) Kristen Bell isn't a regular yet; and I understand that she's busy with movie scheduling...So, I wouldn't hold your breath over having too much Elle in this season. If she returns at all...Since she lived, it's obvious the show would like to have her back...But that will all come down to issues of schedules.

5.) Time frame CLEARS up why Angela didn't send the Haitian with Noah as opposed to Sylar. While Noah and Sylar were heading to the bank, the Haitian was in GERMANY. Unless the Haitian learned to teleport, there's no way he can move that quickly across large parts of the world.

And given that Company policy still seems to be 'One of us, one of them'; The Haitian wouldn't have had a fellow Company agent with him for fast travelling in the form of a teleporter. So, quite simply, the Haitian couldn't be involved because he was off the continent at the time.

As for being the perfect weapon against Sylar, that's yet to be seen. Sylar's power, as far as we can tell, revolves around him modifying his brain to function the way the other person's does. So, even if the Haitian makes him forget...Eventually, he'll manifest his powers again by accident.

Also, judging by how Sylar was able to 'resist' Eden's power in Season One...That leads me to believe that his power is much stronger than anyone realizes. That once he knows how something works, not only can he use it and remember it; he can prevent it from effecting him.

He knew Eden could manipulate him by speaking, after she knocked him out outside Odessa. Hence, when she came to him again, he knew what she was doing and was able to resist it. Much the same when Mohinder injected him with that IV in 'Parasite' that was meant to block his ability. Once Mohinder explained how it worked, Sylar seemed to be able to overcome it's effects.

So, since everyone (especially Noah) makes a point of acknowledging that powers won't work around the Haitian; if this theory holds water, the Haitian is now useless against Sylar.

6.) And yes, Noah and Sylar's interactions in this episode made it one of the best episodes so far. Got to love the entire, 'You do drink decaf, don't you Noah?' line...It's funny, yet threatening and tense at the same time.

I don't want to lose interest in Heroes S3, but I am. Help!

oooh! good episode. :)

i had to laugh with gabriel making waffles and all. and watching milo running around shirtless is always a high light in my book.

any thoughts as to who is coming back next week? mama petrelli looked positively mortified!

Okay...here we go:

-Does anyone know if they're going to keep Volume 3 going all season or if they're going to split the season between two Volumes like they were planning to do with season 2 before the writers' strike? I don't think I can put up with an entire season of this plot line. I'd like to see it wrapped up in December and a new one start when the show comes back after the winter hiatus.

-They are making this season too complicated...even by their complicated standards. There are too many jumps between the future and the present and they're showing us too much of what happens in the future with no explanation. It's already tedious and we're only four episodes into the season.

-I enjoyed future Sylar and I would love to see how he gets to that point. This is what I mean about showing us too much of the future. Showing us snippets builds suspense, but giving away everything without explaining it is annoying.

-I wonder who Sylar's wife is and why he's living in the Bennet house.

-Why do they insist on making Hiro so annoying? Now we have to deal with Adam again, too, as if their Adventures in Feudal Japan last season weren't enough.

-I don't think I like the "creationism" plot they're starting. Again, it's over-complicating an already very complicated show...not to mention FURTHER over-complicated the already frustratingly-complicated Niki/Jessica/Tracy/Barbara (I swear he says "Baba") storyline.

So yeah...I still love the show, but I think they're overcompensating for season 2 by making season 3 such a mess. Like I said, I really hope they wrap up Villains in December before the show goes on hiatus.

It didn't look or sound like anyone we know. My guess is that it's Papa Petrelli.

Where is the girl who worked in fast food and could mimic anything she saw? She was my fav. If they cut off claire's head and set her on fire and then dismembered her and buried her all over the world wouldn't she be dead? Can someone PLEASE do that?! And than can they do that to Hiro? PLEASE!!!! LOL. They annoy me!!! If it wasn't for those two I would give this season two thumbs up. Anyone read Earth X? They turned the one guy (I can't spell his name) into Spiders-man. Not Spider-man but Spiders-man. His future look and actions and being slimy and even hiding under a hood is stolen straight from Earth X. I love Earth X. Even giving everyone abilities is in Earth X. No one is super since everyone is. Black bolt let out the terrigan mist and it changed all of Earth into inhumans. I think I might find these shows way better if I didn't read comics. All the good ideas are stolen from them.
