Heroes Season 3: Villians [merged]

OMG, domesticated Sylar! *|* I loved his presidential apron. Why didn't he just use his telekinesis when fighting the fear man? And that bafoon Peter could have stopped time or teleported before any fighting broke out. I don't really like that speedy girl. I would have loved to see Gabriel quickly snap her neck with his teke.

Did Peter ever meet Linderman? Was it Peter who healed Nathan? If so, he could have healed little Noah. And what happened to Gabriel after the explosion? Couldn't he heal just as well as Claire and Peter?

And why did they waste money on the explosion??? Why can't we have some real action with super powers in the fighting scenes???? It's cheap to use telekinesis because people can just act like they can't move and use strings to throw them around. Gabriel could have actually used his radiation or freezing, sound waves, etc when fighting the fear man instead of just taking it like a bitch.

OMG, future Claire is worse than Peter! ](*,) She "learned how to take care of [her]self" because she fucking ran the fuck away and jumped right into superhero mode without any training. Now she has as much emotional baggage as Peter but without any powers to try to do anything about it so all she can do is cut Peter with a scalpel. That was the funniest shit I've seen since the series started. :rotflmao: When she actually counted, that was fucking hillarious. It's like Meg Griffin scratching people with her nails in that episode where they all got super powers. Future Claire is that ridiculous. I mean seriously, she knows it's Peter from the past. You'd think she'd be smart enough to realize that it's her opportunity to tell him what to do or not to do in the past so she doesn't have to be miserable in the future.

Everybody is fucking emo on that show! Well, I guess Tracy had it coming since her sisters were also mentally unstable. At least she could control her powers when she realized she was freezing the Dr. Looks like she's the most promising of her brood.

Did Nathan divorce his wife back between seasons 1 and 2? I don't like Nathan and Tracy together. His wife was really pretty, and I would have loved to see the boys get some powers in the future. Why did Nathan just drop dead when Peter teleported himself out? He only got his head cut and not even fully open yet.

I can't fucking believe Gabriel let Peter have his powers! ](*,)](*,)](*,) Gabriel should have taken Peter's powers and taken over the show. He's so much hotter anyway :p. Gabriel only has to fend off his hunger, which he can in the future. Peter for all time and eternity is doomed to be a little piece of shit. Hopefully we'll be entertained with Peter and Gabriel duking it out all sweaty and shirtless in level 5.

Speaking of bitches, Hiro, Hiro, Hiro, what can you do with the epitome of idiocy? My main gripe for this week's episode is why the fuck does he have such a grudge against the present Ando. Doesn't he realize that he's driving Ando to the point where Ando actually wants to kill him? Losing trust in Ando is one thing, but he could at least try to figure out the circumstances instead of just cutting him off emotionally.

I agree with the two preceding posts. The writing in general on this show is cringeworthy:

---Hiro and Ando are written like bumbling children, which is criminal because Ando is actually a sexy guy (but God forbid they allow an Asian man to be sexy).

--Mohinder should have been a POV character from day one, but they continually sabotaged that (and kept him from being as sympathetic as he could be) by having the audience always know what Mohinder doesn't. This robs his subplots of any dramatic tension.

--And yes, there are an over preponderance of blonde women and, I would add, scary/threatening black men. I thought it was bad enough when they originally introduced DL as a convict who couldn't be contained or imprisoned (arguably, he became more sympathetic -- if only because people kept shooting him). Then we have the Haitian who remains nameless and is often presented as a adversary. And now Knox who becomes stronger when someone fears him.

For me, the most excruciating part of last nights episode (aside from emo "badass" Claire) was watching the character I hate the most, Peter, talking to his future self. I think it would have been a lot more interesting if the writers had made Noah Bennett more the central character instead of his daughter Claire. As an actor he has a lot more gravity and his character's tension between loving father/family guy and his real job is a lot more engaging than Claire's teenage angst. She's just not that interesting to be given a lion's share of the focus. The same goes for Peter.

So any guesses on who was born with powers & who was given powers?

Next weeks promo, Angela more or less confirmed that Nathan was given powers right? And he asked about being a guinea pig...

I think Niki/Tracy/Barbara were also given powers

And Hiro is still soo annoying to me....I wish he and Ando traded...importance

Agree 100%. The writing for this show is a mess. Season 1 was good now it's like they let a bunch of comic book fanatics go completely crazy in the writing room. There's way too many fucking stories. And nothing follows any sort of logic. Tracy tracks down the doctor finds out her parents are not her parents, she has a sister who is alive and doesnt want to know who Barbra is?

Peter and Claire are both horrible actors. I'm so tired of them both.

Hiro and Ando are pathetic and painfully annoying. Aren't people tired of making Asian men act sexless 5 year olds? It's really a disgrace. The black characters are no better. Simone? Dead. Simone's dad? dead. DL? dead. Knox? Pure Evil. Monica? Who knows. Micah? Gone. Haitian? Doesnt even talk... So sad. It's funny how so many black characters are dead yet Sylar, Nathan, Peter, Noah, Claire, Parkman, Linderman, Nikki/Jessica/Tracy, and soon-to-be Mr. Petrelli all have died/almost died and come back to life.

i guess i'm the only one who still likes this show.

I still love the show. It's the most entertaining thing on TV right now. Unfortunately, I'm getting tired of the writing this season. They're making the show too complicated and confusing and not explaining enough to make up for it. I'm never to stop watching the show, but that doesn't mean I won't complain when the show makes me mad.

I'm going to ask again...does anyone know if they're planning on Volume 3 making up the entire season or are they going to start Volume 4 after the winter hiatus?

Loved Season 1.
Tolerated Season 2.
Turned off the TV about halfway through last night's epi - Sylar doing his best Bree Van de Kamp couldn't even save it for us.
The ratings were in the toilet too - so guess it's not just us getting bored with them trying too hard.

I like it, too.

It probably helps that I don't think, "Oh, well, they already did that in 'X' comic and 'Y' comic!" like some posters in this thread do.

I also enjoy seeing a hot, although admittedly emo, Peter each week. Did I catch a hint of a bulge as he was lying on the morgue table...? I'm pretty sure I did. *|*

Interestingly enough, exactly the same thing happens in comicbooks.

If you already read a story 3 or 4 times in a comic and than see it ripped off on TV you would also think the same way. These comics are just used by the writers and everyone thinks the show is so cool when it's stolen material. I also like the show. Just it isn't original.

I probably would feel that way if I read comics. And while I'm sure that "Heroes" is not original, does that lessen my enjoyment of it? No, it doesn't.

Well it should!! lol, Just kidding. Of course it shouldn't. I still enjoy heroes. But not Claire and Hiro like I said above. And can Claire really dye her hair? Wouldn't her powers put it back since she is damaging the hair by dying it? wouldn't it repair itself? And wouldn't she have to pierce her ears every time she wore earrings? And would her hymen grow back right away? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Also, I hope the next volume tries something other than having the characters trying to prevent some predicted future disaster which they inadvertedly end up causing themselves in the process.

I completely agree with that.

Awful episode. Awful season. I told myself I wouldn't watch another ep, but I did . Waste of an hour. SO many loopholes! Future Peter has healing ability right? So how could he die. If Hiro teleported Adam INTO the coffin, couldn't he just teleport him OUT?

Sylar, four years in the future, has a son about five years old.

The writers are just throwing things together, hoping something works. None of it is. One viewer finished watching show.

Peter couldn't heal himself because the Haitian or whatever was with Claire. Remember young Peter ran into him as he was running from Claire shooting him? He neutralizes powers. Did they say how Adam got in the coffin? I forget? And if the kid is four or five does that smalll detail matter? Maybe someone had Sylars kid already and he doesn't know yet? Maybe he adopted the kid? we just don't know. My question is why was Molly still the same age? I didn't get that. The thing about this show is it doesn't have loop holes but you have to really pay attention. The big problem is that it's been almost a year since season 2 and no one can remember what happened. They had to big of a break between seasons.

hiro teleported adam into a coffin after he tried to release the virus in season 2
and as for sylar's son I'm still undecided if the child is his ( in my opinion) the kid is named noah jr right?

and yes future peter died from the gunshots because the haitian neutralized his regeneration the same way peter wasn't healing when claire cut him with the scalpel

I assumed that future peter would be able to regenerate after the haitian left but I guess since he ''died'' not like the deaths of claire and peter in season 1(glass shard and wooden stick) he can't regenerate

I liked the Niki/Jessica thing too....I'm really hoping they don't just drop her/their story completely

Is there any connection as to why the symbol tattoo showed up only when Jessica was in charge?

Is there a reason why Matt heard two voices instead of one when he read their mind. I'm no psych major, but wouldn't he only hear one distinct voice if Niki was just crazy?

I thought maybe there would be a connection between Future Peter's body swapping ability (since Present Peter saw Jesse in his reflection at the phone booth), maybe it was something to do with Niki/Jessica mirror thing...

But now it seems they've just dropped it all.

Added to revelation that Peter has "Sylar's hunger" because he understands his powers? I thought that Sylar was just a psycho who wanted more powers to be special & his compulsion or drive or hunger or whatev was his own thing. Like in season two when he lost his powers, he continued to hunt & kill people, trying to get their powers, even though he couldn't (like Candice)

So if the hunger was actually a part of Sylar's powers, wouldn't Peter have been dealing with it also since season 1?

peter didn't absorb sylar's original ability until the latest episode. he probably didn't know the original ability, so that's probably why it was never absorbed

I'm pretty sure Peter had the power since he saved Claire from Sylar in Season 1, (since he automatically absorbs powers)? He just didn't know he had his original power or how to access it

I was under the impression that Peter only just know learned how his power works in the last episode?
