The nation took a nasty turn after September 11, 2001, and dragging ourselves into a war which has led the country into substantial debt. Today we now face the problems in the Middle East, Education, Health Care, Social Security, and Economic Growth within the nation. Many of our men and women are working hard everyday not just within the shores of America, but over seas in our embassies and over in the Middle East.
We as Americans I know are wishing everyone in Iraq is safe, warm, and food to eat every night, and praying for their families for a safe and speedy return trip home. Furthermore, we cannot just focus our energies onto the war alone, we need to worry about our children, are they getting the education they deserve? Are there enough seats in the classroom? Safe after school programs for any student who asks for them? And what about our music programs which is the magic that our young children crave for?
More then just after school and safe school programs we need to also focus on the environment, decreasing our dependency on fossil fuels; relying more on affiant's fuels as hybrids, solar and wind powers. Also, Social Security is a subject that is always worried about for our seniors across the country. They have served our country and now its time we make sure that they are not just taken care of, but they are happy. The debt in Social Security needs to be, if not lowered, but eliminated. We also need to work on having more money for our cities, cleaning them up and making sure that our neighborhoods are safe, despite of the demographics or locations.
This beautiful country of ours is one of the world's biggest exporters and suppliers of agriculture. The latest freeze in California has destroyed nearly $1 Billion dollars in crop production, causing our produce to increase nearly three times higher in the markets across the country. We need to make sure that our country is not affected by this in the future; we need to find more land, with rich American soil that we can grow our food and product on that can feed the mouths of children, men, and women everywhere.
National Security has always been a heated topic in and out of Washington D.C, but we need to start making smarter moves; throwing money at this problem isn't going to solve much. We need to start making smart decisions and choices, if we're going to keep putting money into this issue; we need to say, "Where would this benefit the most?" We can start by taking more guns off the streets, cracking down on drug lords and sweat shops, moving forward with keeping our borders safe and slowing down and eliminating illegal immigration. It seems all of our resources have been going to this war, granted that War(s) take up a lot of our resources, but we need to keep the Nation stable, we cannot lose control of the Middle East and the Nation itself.
And last, but not least, we need to really achieve more affordable Health Care for our nation's families. We need to find health programs in which everyone can afford regardless of demographics, income or work history. Everyday too many Americans are going sick and untreated illnesses which can and will lead to further and possible future medical problems. If we can discover new ways for affordable programs like Medicaid and lower Medicare programs, we can establish a firmer stand on a healthier America.
Hilary Clinton holds all the qualities that this could be done, she has the stamina and force to take on Washington head on and make the next four years in office effective. America needs a new direction and new stand on curtain public issues; we need a new face, and a new smarter person in office. Clinton can do this for us, America.
Hillary Rodham Clinton for President in 2008.
