Hillary says she will help struggling Americans. Why Should We Believe that she would?

The wealthy get their money from the excess profit they draw from the economy. In the case of somewhere like Walmart, it's not really that Waltons who are paying the employees, it's the customers.

The only wealthy people who are seen as the enemy of the rest of society are those who act as though society is their enemy by undermining democracy, competition, labour, safety and the environment.
They need no protection or defending by the aspirational poor.

you have fundamental misconceptions about the American economy. i have studied it for 10 YEARS and your telling me the waltons get their profit from the customers? THATS A LAUGH! Your simply oblivious to the realities of the American political system and our economy. You defend Hilalry, because SHE WORKED FOR WAL MART! As a corporate LAWYER.

One of the most dishonest employers in America, and one of the most dishonest politicians in American history, you fully endorse.

Where do your ideas come from? A corny corporate cookbook? Your worse than benvolio, he at least doesn't hide that hes a right wing pathological liar, all you do is SPIN SPIN SPIN.

Wealthy people are the enemy? The wealthy pay your salary and mine. The idiots in charge are wealthy, but that doesn't mean that being wealthy is a bad thing. Wealth has no inherent evil associated with it. I'd like to have a little money someday. When I do, I damn sure don't expect to be ridiculed or hated because of all my hard work.

Wealth has no inherent evil? do you know what country your talking about? do you?

then why do the wealthy find as many ways as possible to screw the american taxpayer any chance they get? get out of my thread.

i cannot wait for a "moderator" to show up and remind me that my threads dont attract PARTICIPATION but will probably get slapped with another warning. bring it on openterph, ban me now.

Where do you think the Waltons ultimately get their income from, genius?

Wrong, she was on the board. First female director: Here's what one of her fellows said about her:

“Did Hillary like all of Wal-Mart practices? No,” said Garry Mauro, a longtime friend and supporter of the Clintons who sat on the Wal-Mart Environmental Advisory Board with Mrs. Clinton in the late 1980s and worked with her on George McGovern’s 1972 presidential campaign.

“But,” Mr. Mauro added, “was Wal-Mart a better company, with better practices, because Hillary was on the board? Yes.”

Hardly paints a damning picture. In fact, more than a decade after her tenure she was rejecting donations from them on the basis of their stances.

The wealthiest 40% pay ALL the income taxes; indeed, they pay 106% of the income taxes. And then there are the state taxes. The tax system is not a tax system, it is a confiscation system, designed to take money away from those the marxists believe have too much. It is designed to give as many democrats a possible a free ride and to give charity to many. Obviously the rich want to keep some for themselves. How can democrats have their class warfare if the rich do not fight back?

^Sales taxes (here in the EU Value Added Tax) is a greater burden on the ordinary person, than income tax is on the wealthy...when considering that wealthy people employ accountants to enable the wealthy person to navigate their way around their tax responsibilities.

My simple statements and assertions have been twisted around like a kite string. Settle down folks. I'm not some elitist up on a pedestal. I'm a full time worker just trying to get a piece of the pie. What I think about wages is very simple and easy to understand. Some jobs are inherently low paying. Duh! Some demand higher pay. This is good and it is normal. When the waitress makes more than a cop or EMT, the world has gone bonkers. If minimum goes up a large amount, what about the people that have worked their asses off to get where they are? They get screwed. Now some kid flipping burgers makes half what you do for putting forth no effort to improve. It's insane.

Almost half of Americans receive some form of welfare, so many have no tax burden at all.
But you are correct, our draconian tax system requires many people to hire expensive professionals to determine how much they owe. The cost of accountants is in effect, another tax. Conservatives have argued for decades for tax simplification, but democrats like it convoluted as part of their class warfare.

Many restaurant, bar, and fast food outlet owners started life flipping burgers, and/or serving tables, having faced the ever present dilemma of their ethnic origins restricting their employment prospects.

There are few wealthy people who do not benefit immensely by employing an accountant to mitigate their tax responsibilities.

We can agree that simplifying the taxation system (here in Greece it is also a nightmare scenario) would benefit society.

When the minimum wage increases, jobs traditionally paying more than the minimum wage also experience wage inflation.
Given the labour component of food, rent and imported goods is relatively low, the net effect for the average worker is a small increase in living costs and a large increase in wages.

There's a natural limit to an economy's ability to absorb immediate cost increases, but over time these are manageable.

Since the late 80s and early 90s there has been a Global New Fascist Movement and they chose as their new birthplace Mother Russia. I called it on my political blog back in the Winter and Hillary just now caught on. They are capable of anything. Trump is a fascist and he will shred the Constitution and do whatever it takes for Power if he has to. There was always a White Russian element within the KGB, and that is where Col. Putin came from.

I have found this to be absolutely untrue in over 25 years of continuous employment. It would be nice. It's a great dream to have I suppose.

I am no fan of Putin, but calling him a fascist simply confuses the question. Liberals call everyone a fascist whom they dislike, so the word ceases to have an actual meaning. Putin seems closer to garden variety military dictatorship, like the usual latin American type, than a fascist. He has little in common with Hitler or Mussilini, for instance, except apparent dictatorial control. Fascist should be limited to regimes having or seeking totalitarian control of society and the economy. It requires inter alia, an ideology supporting total control, such as racism etc for Hitler and class warfare for communists. Putin has no such ideology and pretends to be a democratic regime.
As for the Constitution, democrats, not Republicans believe that the Supreme Court has the right to change the Constitution to meet the time, i.e. to impose the liberal agenda. Trump will have no support from Republicans in shredding the Constitution

Putin was KGB and is still KGB. Don't like SCOTUS? Let's overturn Loving v Virginia, the rest of the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Act and EVERY other progressive thing that the court has done.

The minimum wage tends to be readjusted to a similar level relative to inflation with each increase.

If you are not receiving a similar level increase over the same period, that would indicate your employers see less value in your work now than when you were younger.

Apart from government sanctioned attacks on gays. Funny you would neglect to mention that here.

Fascism is the merger of the State and Corporatism. Putin has done that masterfully in Russia. Everything is ruled by Corporate Oligarchs.
