1."]No what you did was make some vague and amorphous complaints aimed at "Government" about Globalization. You didn't say anything specific except Blame Bill Clinton for it all,"
I hold Clinton accountable for being the chief executive officer of the United States that signed into these trade deals, deals that were beneficial to foreign countries and big business and put Americans out of work, the group that I named specifically were the non-skilled workers, this group found themselves doing work that high school kids used to do, such as fast food.
2."you decided to bring up people who you are NOT calling stupid, but actually are"
Again, I never said that they were stupid. These were people who were in no position, had no skill set or ability to just "move on" to a new career path.
3. "I still have no idea what those people you aren't calling stupid have to do with Global Market trends anyway."
Global market trends as you call it is a fancy way to say out sourcing, when companies that employed American workers found that they had access to cheap foreign labor American workers were dropped like a hot potato. Our shores were flooded with inferior goods and the money went to places like China.
I fully understand that times and economies change, we went from agrarian to manufacturing, life improved for many when this happened.
It wasn't as though the farms closed, moved away and those who made a living had no place to go.
No, one replaced the other.
Nothing has replaced our manufacturing industry. Due to global or free trade the standard of living for most Americans has fallen, those hurt the worst were just the average employee, the ones that you accuse me of calling "stupid".
You call them stupid, to me they are average people, who have become the working poor in our nation.
I am not campaigning for or against anyone in my posts in this thread, but, if Clinton signed NAFTA, GATT, MFNTS with China then he owns it.
This is the same guy that ended welfare, signed DOMA and DADT.
He would have made one hell of a republican.
