Hillary says she will help struggling Americans. Why Should We Believe that she would?

That's just rediculous. I'm in the same class. You are really running out of exits plans. Nothing I've said condemns the hard working people.

No, you haven't said anything to condemn them, but you have said plenty about them not being deserving of any more than what they get.

That's what we're having a problem with.

All I e been saying is that some jobs pay less than others. I've been repeating a few hard truths.

I don't get the hate for my posts. I'm telling the truth. Some lines of work are less lucrative than others. That doesn't make them less valuable. They just pay less. That's all I've been saying.

This has been my complaint, China did not build a better mouse trap and beat us at our own game. Like it or not Japan built cars that US drivers liked and took over a good share of the market, all China did was pimp out it's work force.
Well, in the 70s/early 80s 90+% of what you picked up off the shelf didn't have a tag stating "Made in China".

1."]No what you did was make some vague and amorphous complaints aimed at "Government" about Globalization. You didn't say anything specific except Blame Bill Clinton for it all,"

I hold Clinton accountable for being the chief executive officer of the United States that signed into these trade deals, deals that were beneficial to foreign countries and big business and put Americans out of work, the group that I named specifically were the non-skilled workers, this group found themselves doing work that high school kids used to do, such as fast food.

2."you decided to bring up people who you are NOT calling stupid, but actually are"

Again, I never said that they were stupid. These were people who were in no position, had no skill set or ability to just "move on" to a new career path.

3. "I still have no idea what those people you aren't calling stupid have to do with Global Market trends anyway."

Global market trends as you call it is a fancy way to say out sourcing, when companies that employed American workers found that they had access to cheap foreign labor American workers were dropped like a hot potato. Our shores were flooded with inferior goods and the money went to places like China.

I fully understand that times and economies change, we went from agrarian to manufacturing, life improved for many when this happened.
It wasn't as though the farms closed, moved away and those who made a living had no place to go.
No, one replaced the other.

Nothing has replaced our manufacturing industry. Due to global or free trade the standard of living for most Americans has fallen, those hurt the worst were just the average employee, the ones that you accuse me of calling "stupid".
You call them stupid, to me they are average people, who have become the working poor in our nation.

I am not campaigning for or against anyone in my posts in this thread, but, if Clinton signed NAFTA, GATT, MFNTS with China then he owns it.

This is the same guy that ended welfare, signed DOMA and DADT.

He would have made one hell of a republican.

Lots of whining isn't going to change anything.

At this point and time, given the Fascist movement of the Trump campaign and the Republican platform on LGBTQ rights, it really doesn't make any difference whether she has flipped or flopped. She is the only viable choice of the two. That is unless you would like to regress back into the 50's, go back in the closet, become a criminal for who you love or have sex with, and be stripped of any last shred of dignity you might have. Seems pretty obvious to me who to vote for......and you are voting aren't you?

I would argue regardless of whether or not Trump is elected the anti-intellectual, anti-queer, anti-women, anti-black, islamaphobic, racist bigoted fire has already been lit. All Hillary would do is ignite it more and then when a fascist with a brain in his or her head gets elected, it'll be Nazi Germany American style. I have no hope in this election and much like Obama's election I will vote third party and hardly be surprised that a neoliberal whacko gets elected again. Meanwhile, I'm safe if I stay inside my house. For awhile at least. It's only a matter of time, and things are well on their way with school shootings and homicides.

That's just rediculous. I'm in the same class. You are really running out of exits plans. Nothing I've said condemns the hard working people.

You're maintaining that people who are cleaning toilets or otherwise on minimum wage aren't hard working.

Some of the hardest jobs I ever had were the worst paying. And yet you're happily painting everyone who's doing worse than you as lazy. It's confirmation bias.

If you vote "third party" you are guaranteeing your vote is wasted. This is your choice, Clinton or Trump, no one else is going to win.

There it is. I have NO idea what a "Neo-Liberal whacko" is, which is odd since I pay attention, but whatever that is, YOU have a choice between Clinton and Trump, no more, nothing else, rail against the system all you want, then remember the ONLY way to change it is one School board election at a time, one State House election at a time, and if you aren't involved in those, FUCK you and the horse you rode in on, I certainly hope you are locally engaged...

If not you are no help to anyone at all...

I did tell you that you were sounding like a condescending douchenozze - if you don't understand why, feel free to PM me.

Never said it.

I understand why you said it. I don't need any further explanations. I see from your posts what makes you tick.

Lots of whining isn't going to change anything.

That's the best that you can do? Really? Whining changes nothing, people change things. I don't care if you get that or not, one day those who betray the trust of those who have voted for them will get it.

Nobody is disputing that. Now you are putting words into your own mouth. However, you have also been saying that the people doing those menial jobs are not worthy of a decent wage. You make it sound as though they should feel extremely fortunate to make such money doing such menial labour.

I won't repeat what we've been trying to explain. We've repeated it often enough.

Yes, we agree that some jobs inherently pay more and some inherently pay less. It's your attitude that the people who do the 'pay less' jobs aren't as ambitious as those who do the 'pay more' jobs. They don't deserve to make more money. But a woman who scrubs toilets to feed her family is a much harder worker and has a much stronger work ethic than an executive who sits behind his desk all day expending very little effort and makes 100 times more money than the toilet scrubber.

He does it because he wants the money. She does it because she NEEDS it.

That is why we hate some of your posts. They put you on a much higher pedestal than a lot of other people, including me.

No you are not telling the truth. You are spouting opinions and trying to dress it up as some kind of Gospel.

And you appear to be supporting the current state of affairs whereby people are underpaid for the work that they do.

You don't get to act all butthurt because you are posting opinions that we find intellectually bankrupt and call you out on your naked disdain for people in 'menial' jobs.

In comment after comment, your own opinions are made clear. It isn't about truth telling. I've also told the truth. That is is morally reprehensible and socially unsustainable to have have people working for less than a living wage in a country as wealthy as the US.

You may not think so. But that doesn't make you right. Only right wing.

I saw this recently..reminds me of a few things I read in this thread...

Yeah, if you start whining....

I'm only stating things that are true. You don't like it and I might not like it either, but that's the way it is. Stop acting like I created the system or decide how it works. I'm in the same system. A worker bee. I buzz around and observe what's happening. I'm telling you the truth. Those jobs will never be high paying. They aren't designed to be.

Jesus wept.

You just refuse to get it.

They don't have to be high paying jobs. But every job of 40 hours per week should pay a living wage. And there's no reason why they shouldn't.

I have repeatedly stated that I have no distain for individuals that work hard. You are being dishonest. Yes I am NOT a leftie liberal commie either. We agree on more things than we disagree on. If you would take a deep breath and actually read my words without passion, you'd see that.
