Actually, according to one of the articles, by the time he got the HIV results back, he had already had THREE different STDS. It says his girlfriend is negative for HIV, what about other STDS,which as usual are being overlooked. HIV/AIDS is not the only deadly or life changing STD out there.

There are holes on both sides in this situation. I am not saying that he is not without blame. However, he was assured of how safe the sets were and told that he would make a lot of money. After working in str8 porn he got his second test and found out he had 3 STI's. His managers also told him to keep working since he already had those and he couldn't do anything else. So he continued working. He nor AIM knows how OR whom he got it from.

I am sure he like many guys his age think they are untouchable from contracting any and when he did he was told basically it was no big deal and keep working. They could have explained to him the full risks of working as a sex worker. I see that he began working in porn for a few months and he is Pos. that is tragic. It seems that a lot of people in the biz were more concerned with making money off this guy then actually explaining all the risks involved. They mainly tell them about how much money he could make.

I watch a decent amount of straight porn and virtually all of it -- like over 95% -- is without condoms. In fact, it is hard to find straight porn WITH condoms. I feel really sorry for the guy, but to be totally honest he needs to take some responsibility for himself. It's been proven by AIM that he didn't contract HIV from his fellow performers, and despite his denials he's obviously been escorting and prostituting himself. The add from Rentboy states "if you're not satisified I won't ask you to pay" what is that referring to except sex?

He was tested in September and it was shown to be a negative result, October he was diagonised positive. I can't imagine the fear that is going through his mind, no matter how educated a person is, there would surely be a huge level of "oh shit" when the diagnosis comes through. But, he needs to own up to his own responsibility in the matter. If none of the performers he's acted with are positive, then he didn't catch it through oral sex on a Florida shoot.

Blame is a waste of time, he needs to get himself educated and well cared for by a Dr, not spend time blaming others for a lack of "duty of care" when everyone he's worked with on film is negative.

I feel bad for him too.... but at some point, you HAVE to take responsblity for your own poor judgement as well.
I will say that one of my biggest gripes about this(and I've said it a couple of times already), HIV/Aids is NOT the only STD out there and not the only one that can have serious life consquences. Getting many of the other ones like Herpes or Syphilis not only weaken your immune system, they make it more likely you can catch HIV. None of them are good to get folks and the fact he had several made it more likely he would get HIV, which he did.

You are correct... a lot of Gay For Pay stars aren't actually straight. Although that phenomenon is pretty much contained to just one studio that still does that now.

Most studios are now realizing that the "gay for pay" thing has run it's course and it's time to focus more on gay men.
