Hollister and the (Overweight)

Why would someone want overpriced clothes where the stitching lasts about two weeks before it starts to unravel while the clothes themselves lack any sort of flair or originality? Y'can find the same sorts of clothes anywhere, they're rather generic.

Money gives to the economy. Would you concider the stuff to be expensive?

sometimes, I like to pick my nose.

Yeah...today I noticed that they painted this one building red that used to be blue...

...and they have this one lane closed on the way to the store because they are repainting the white lines in the street...amazing really...must be special paint they use

...and then I picked my nose

It is expensive.

A&F boxers cost as much as Calvin Klein boxers, and although comfy they're not nearly as nice and not nearly as designed as cK stuff is. And their boardshorts cost as much as Billabong or Quik or RipCurl boardies and have none of the build intelligence or tech/performance of the proper surf kit.

I wish I could put up my text message convo I had with my hag when she brought an overweight friend to Lane Bryant to look at dresses. She got leered at [she's a surfboard] for being in a fat store [I refuse to say "plus size", "full-figured" or some other PC BS term]. Why does Lane Bryant get a pass but not Hollister?

To be fair, A&F/Hollister used to make really good clothes before the market crashed and now all their clothes are cheap crap.

Considering in the "Post Pictures of what you think Jubbers Look Like" thread 90% of your pictures posted are of obese people, do you REALLY think the citizens of JUB are stupid enough to believe you're suddenly concerned with where "fat" people are able to shop for clothing?

I noticed you using the term "Fat people" here, however, I never once used this term myself, I consider it to be a rude way of explaining the situation "overweight" is the polite term. I do not know why you are describing them in this way I have no issues with an "overweight" human you...yourself, however, appear to have slipped up by using this term "fat people" I see you may have a slight issue with the "overweight" that resided within your subconscious it appears you accidentally let it slip with the choice of words you made. Some very successful elder's are "overweight" I judge nobodody on weight, but we can now see how you really feel.

I can understand what you mean.

Everything bought 'goes' toward the economy, one way or another. No particular reason to buy there. For the clothing products integrity and 'style', yes, it's expensive. Not worth the effort, ime.

Do you like Debenhams clothes?

I think fat would be a better descriptor. Overweight is medicalese and not related to shopping at Lane Bryant, by any stretch. The description of underweight has some similar problems, except people like to pretend underweight = healthy/'normal weight'. Easier just to use actual words than having people guess which size overweight actually means while getting it wrong 90 percent of the time. Most fat people that I know prefer the word fat for those reasons. A'course, other people like other words. I prefer heavy and broad, myself. I'm built a bit like a linebacker on a diet, fer instance. 'Overweight', however, can kiss my ample ass.

Oh don't even try this crap.

You posted one picture after another of morbidly obese people in order to mock other Jubbers. Do not try to tell us it is because you didn't want to offend.

Just don't.

Really.

Don't

I am far better off buying clothes in thrift shops. They have ALWAYS lasted longer than anything that I buy brand new...

You need to remember the thread you mention is meant to be for fun and comedy it should be read with a pinch of salt.Nobody should take this thread seriously. I myself always get posted as ridiculous items and laugh it off, you can't honestly take it seriously?Really????? Come on:rolleyes:.

I dunno who the hell they are, I don't live in London. Hollister I've seen and A&F I've worn when picked up at the thrift shop but I've not seen Debenhams.

Sorry i thought you was from UK.
Ben Shermam last a long time.

I know, right? I'm also lucky that I can usually find decent shoes there as well. I really miss those pair of purple Sketchers. I like thrift shops cuz the clothing has already been 'tested' - y'know it isn't going to fall apart in the second washing and y'know it isn't going to shrink three sizes and bleed bad dye on your shorts. Love thrift shops.

Hon, an item is not a person. You're not using an inanimate object, you're pointing at a living human being.

In particular, you're pointing/insulting at an attribute that human has and comparing it to someone in a thread. I always considered that rude at best, not to mention some lazy, inconsiderate thinking. I hate it when people don't put actual work into jabs - it ends up insulting everyone but the person they're going for.
