There is nothing wrong with being on your own constantly just slumped at home doing nothing worthwhile. The problem is that you have to enjoy doing that and it is obvious that you want something different out of life.
Happiness is a state of mind and not a direct result of what you do. It doesn't matter what you do but you have to learn how to appreciate the life you are living and work on giving yourself moments of pleasure.
Accept that you may well be on your own for the rest of your life but even so this doesn't mean that it can't be an interesting and pleasurable life.
Yet another suggestion:
Take the early train to London, visit some museums, have lunch at the V&A, if you can afford it take in a musical at the theatre and then come home. You will spend the whole day on your own but at least you will have done something worthwhile with the day.
