Well, Araucaria,(*8*) I think the English Channel is no longer helping to keep that extreme heat that is over France, from invading us anymore. Plus the high and low pressure systems are different with them hanging around for much longer than they used to. I’m seriously thinking of moving to the north west of Scotland.

It must be global warming that is leading to the crazy weather. We are just starting a two week heatwave, but even when it ends there will still be no rain. A hosepipe ban has just started. Stand pipes might be next.
Thank you for those Rail Cams, it is indeed amazing just what is captured on them. On the railway forum I belong, there’s a thread devoted to what happens at level crossings, thanks to such rail cams.

Hi, Araucaria, (*8*) Im drinking lots of water in this hot weather, but feel so sleepy. It was a bike ride yesterday, this week I will not be on the train, not just because of the hot weather, but screaming kids, who also stand on seats and tables. Not nice at all.
I suppose we will have to find a way to adapt to climate change, etc., Mankind is too limited in what it can do to stop it, unless we can suddenly find some way to change Earth’s climate.
