House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) says no aid for Joplin without cuts

Not much of a story here, frankly. It took less than 24 hours for them to find the money someplace.

Even though they did find offsets for the appropriations, I still think this is about messaging. As you know, Ron Paul has been a consistent non-supporter of FEMA or government assistance of any kind due to disasters, and if left to him, victims would be on their own (a very strict libertarian perspective of the role of government).

You kind of expect this perspective from Ron Paul. But Cantor is in a GOP leadership position, and his political posturing (he and the rest of us know they aren't going to simply pray for the Joplin victims and wave bye-bye) sends a message that appears to be heartless to the average joe. Why step on your political crank to make the point about the need for balanced budget? We get it. Wrong event to use as a lecturing moment.

See my post above.

I agree it turns out to be a non-event in the end. But sometimes these politicians need to wise up by not creating stupid headlines. He should have kept his trap shut on this one.

Only this one?

They will be getting plenty of aid. So as usual, chris' left-wing hit piece turns into another epic fail. Great job, chris.

The compassion of the GOP would have no trouble giving aid to an oil company.

Yeah.

It's back.

And Cantor is still a miserable mean little cunt.

So to summarize .....

Little people member starts a thread that is sorta lame

More little people jump on it referring to a party as heartless and a particular member as a "cunt"

This particular "cunter" which i would suggest is the party using the term

Refers to himself as a moderate :)

"It" jumps in to call out the thread for what it is

Imagine that referring to another member as "it"

As usual the "littlers" do they ....

Start a BS partisan thread
Pile on
Belittle those who say it's BS

The leaders of the little ones are what they call others

And have no filter

At least Alfie's mysogony was clever sorta

Not so much here

They spew without regard

Overcompensating for something i imagine ;)

Or many things more likely
