How many of you have seen this tv show? If you haven't go to youtube and type in (how clean is your house) You can see clips of it. I went to a co- workers house a few days ago and it was as bad as those clips. I lost all respect for him and will never return to his home. How fucking pathetic. I could have puked:help:

I used to watch that show when it was on UK TV every night. I loved it. I'm sort of anal retentive when it comes to keeping my house clean, everything is daily dusted, vaccumed once a day, scrubbed to within in each of its life every Saturday morning. My house usually looks like the "end result" of those shows.

Stupid show, I used to get all teary when they did the big "reveal" of the clean house and think "awww isn't that lovely for them, they now have a lovely home".

i would like you to clean my house for free. :-)

We have a cleaning lady every other week. I would say it's pretty clean. In between her visits I keep things tidy by putting things where they belong and putting things away as I use them. My bathrooms are awlays spotless because if anyone ever stopped by and went to use it I would freak out if they weren't. There is nothing more disgusting than a dirty bathroom. I'm not anal about it tho. If I have a party or something like that I have no prob with leaving things untill the morning.

I am not going to win any awards--it's ok. I do tend to get on a cleaning jag every now and then...love the bleach fumes.

I wouldn't mind Niecy Nash paying a visit...

!oops!!oops!!oops!!oops!
This is embarrassing, but my home is so trashed that we can't find a cleaning service who's willing to clean it. We've had several agencies come over to asses the situation and give us an estimate, and we're willing to pay! But, so far, we've had no takers. Even more embarrassingly, the mess is all mine. Jason is pretty neat and organized and he does most of our house work. I just have this issue of throwing everything down on the floor. The War Room is a complete disaster--I have no idea where our books are. It's really, really bad. I think our carpet is ruined. It's so bad, that Jason has started sleeping in the guest room so I can have his room.

We do manage to keep some of the rooms tidy. The living room, formal dinning room, and bathrooms are all in order. Mainly b/c we entertain, and we use those rooms to do so.

Now, it's not like we are really gross or anything. The floors are littered w/ clothing, shoes, suits, dog toys, books, crt documents and research, newspapers, that sort of thing. We don't leave food laying around or anything--but then again, we don 't cook either. It's pathetic and I hate it. I keep saying that I'm going to clean, but I never have time and it's such a daunting task. It would take a month to pick this crap up. Be easier just to move.

Alpha, you can hire me as a live in cleaner... hahaha

I have a friend of mine who said that recently re: her house. Next thing you know they were moving into a bigger house.. Apparently her landlord had decided to sell the house, but I have my suspicions that she just gave up and decided to move somewhere clean.

Sounds like a viable option really. ;)

We don't have food laying around, but our counters, tables, the oven (yes, even the oven is filled) w/ empty coke cans and coffee cups. Sitting in the War Room now I can count 42 empty coke cans. We recycle, it's just a matter of putting them in the bin.

I can't be only JUBBER who's messy. Come on guys, let's hear those horror stories.

My dream guy would be someone who stayed at home--a house husband if you will. I don't want children so there'd be no baby raising duties, but it would be so nice to have someone to run all the errands, to pick up my dry cleaning, to write thank you cards and Christmas cards, to go get our food, to clean the house, to keep up w/ the car maintenance, to take care of the dog, to do the laundry, etc. I just can't convince Jas to quit his job though. :D

I've got two German Shepherds. The hair is everywhere. The vacuum is going non stop. They also slobber a good bit and create a considerable amount of dust. And my housekeeper died, so we're having to do it all ourselves now.

We're good about keeping the sink empty of dirty dishes and we don't leave empty cans and cups lying about. We're not as good about putting stuff away as we should be. Other than that, not too bad.
