I carry a Paratrooper bag/med bag with me when I need to go to the store. Contents include.

My schedule/wallet
My Keys
Steno pad with notes on everything I need to look for.
Pens
Scissors
Swiss knife
Gum
Allergy pills
Ibuprofen
Heart burn pills
Hand sanitizer
Tissues
Phone
Tape measure
Calculator

Now before you go ranting and say OMG that is a womans purse, I take all that because I always travel, well most of the time with other people, that will need one or two of those things. Since we live 45 miles away from home base it is better to have it then have to buy it again. However when I go out myself I usually just take my license and debit card/money. I used to carry my back pack from college around with me. But I wore the poor thing out.

Anytime I go to Atlanta, at least around the gay friendly areas you tend to always spot a couple guys with a feminine purse and/or wearing high heals. Its mostly black men that you see around nice shopping malls. Not being racist, I just have yet to see a Caucasian male or Hispanic male walking around with heels or a purse.

I think its pretty cool that they have the balls to actually walk out in daylight like that, I don't find anything wrong with it but I'm sure they get stares.

You should see all the men carrying purses in DC. And weave too.

That takes balls to put on those high heels with a size 12 foot.

I'm trying to declutter. So a phone, card holder is usually enough for me. My phone has a camera for those moments!

Stop going to and around Lenox and Perimeter Mall; it may be very gay friendly, but it sure doesn't cater to someone that's not trying to spend 80$ on a simple pair of pants! The only reason i can't get mad at the description is because it's mainly true - i've seen a lot of feminine gay (of all colors, but black more often than not) men there with purses and makeup on. I've also seen a lot of black guys at Lenox in tracksuits and 80's Bobby Brown haircuts, LARGE gold chains and high top Adidas. It's like Bizarro world on a Saturday evening.

Oh, but if you go down to the park on events like this weekend(Pride), you'll see all colors in purses and high heels. Hopefully the cold will stop people from wearing teddys and skinny jeans... but i saw it last year, so we'll see. ..|

hahaha tell me about it.... I will never fully understand tracksuits as casual wear, but thats just me lol

I'm going to go ahead and assume people will be dressed more conservative seeing as how last years was during halloween. Though I know I should never make such assumptions

Reasoning with Boxerdudeuk on this topic isn't any easier than talking to Ann Coulter.

there's nothing to "reason with". i don't like purses on men. end of fucking story. if you don't like it, who cares. you can wear your purse all fucking day for all i care. makes no difference to me.

LOL. I read somewhere that 99.9% of all LV is bootleg. So whenever I see something with its logo I assume it's fake.

I have Louis Vuitton portfolio in monogram design, wallet and glass case that I have recently resurrected. It serves the pursepose....lol. Also, 4 or 5 pieces of luggage. it is expensive, butt...holds up forever and if it needs anything, take it to an LV store and they send it off for repair/refurbishing ....for free....forever. Recently moved, and I found an old LV clutch (ok?) I forgot about in the Taiga finish (looks like wood grain) and I have carried it around lately if I have too much shit, like wallet two sets of keys, passport, whatever. Not macho, maybe, but practical. Also, I don't live in suburban Boise, either, and even if I did, fuck em if they don't like my $700 clutch.....HA!

...or maybe someone who expects others to enjoy a feminine aesthetic when, as a matter of personal preference, we don't have to? that's a bit creepy too....

You're a man who sleeps with men. You break the general rules of gender. Yet you would call a man who wears a purse "repulsive" with no empathy whatsoever that they simply are different? Just like you are different.

I'm inclined to side with Native Son. No one has ever told you to be attracted to femme guys, but you're repeated demeaning of them is just ridiculous. You're an asshole. end of story. I don't really see what separates you from most gay-bashing straight people.

Cosign!!!!!!!!

Actually I don't especially like those things.

I enjoy someone who has his own style instead of conforming to a caricature of masculinity. But I'm also not fond of seeing someone who seems to be fleeing his masculinity.

If you have some other history with boxer and bluedragon, it went over my head. Based on just what they wrote in this thread I think some people are reading a bit much into what they said.

Myself I'm kinda the geek-next-door look, and I'm good with pretty much whatever in terms of my own attraction so long as it seems authentic. A purse seems as much of a put-on as crushing empty beer cans, to be honest. Real beer comes on tap.

No, you're missing my point. I've said I can find attractiveness in a range of expression of masculinity. I don't care for obvious charades or caricatures that people affect as part of their chosen aesthetic. I think there is a kind of really silly hyper-masculinity (can crushing for instance) that I just can't take seriously. But similarly, there is a kind of swishyness that is not innate which I find silly. Nobody seems to have a problem with that. I don't need to find exaggerated femininity to be worthwhile either, but people are construing this as "fem bashing" when it just isn't.

I knew this non-debate was going to start back up again.

No, but if I had enough stuff to carry, it wouldn't bother me to carry something sufficiently rugged.
