i was in love once. and to be honest i am still in love after all these years. its been so long since i've seen him but the feelings are still just as strong as they were. so i have a question.

does it happen twice?

is it insane to think that love comes back around?

i'm not depressed about it. i am happy that i have loved. i just wonder is it a waste of time to think that i could have it again. is it asking just a little to much to think that fate could be so kind as to let such an amazing thing happen twice?

so tell me have you been in love more than once?

I don't fall in love anymore...

Too many times has it happened on my part, but the other person has grown close to me on a different level that I'm "more of a brother" to them.

Love does happen more than once; but you canNOT replace a LOVED one....

BTW, haven't you too ever wondered why it's called "FALLING" into love?

Why should you fall? lol(*8*)(*8*):kiss::kiss:

Just as a little aside:

In reference to Cocktales's comment: I think it's called "falling" in love cos when you fall over or down, there is no way of stopping yourself, and the same applies to love. When you feel it, you feel it; when it happens, it happens; when it starts, you can't stop it.

Although I'm not sure of the true etymology :D

I believe you can fall in love more than once. I also believe that love is different with and towards each person you feel it for. Therefore you may not love somebody the way you loved a previous "someone special", but that is not to say that you don't love them

Here's hoping we all find this thing called love - for first or nth time (*8*)

I've been in love several times in my life, and I'm in love with a very special man right now. So yes, I think love can happen at any time - and more than once.

I was with this guy for a while. I totally fell for him, he didn't fall for me so much. At the time I thought it was the classic "falling in love" but it wasn't. I hadn't seen him for about a year and in that time I fell in love for another guy completely, and it feels like.. I don't think I can describe it.

Unfortunately his boyfriend of several years does not approve.

It was weird, I saw the first guy again a few days ago and it brought all the memories and emotions about how I felt about him back when I was first meeting him and falling for him, and I realized that it didn't compare to how I feel about the second guy.

Yep -- love does happen more than once. I've fallen in love three times plus an additional sorta-almost-there-kinda-thing.

I never understood why it's called "falling in love" until it happened to me ... I was sitting there, looking at him, thinking what a great guy he was, when ... "whoosh!!!" it was this total rush that felt just like falling, but oh so much more!

But, once fallen, you can get back up again. At least, I can. (*8*)

Twice.

First time was a hard, sudden, obsessive, what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-me sort of love. Not pleasant, but makes for great movies and porn flicks.

Second one was a slow, quiet, comfortable, wonderful sort of love. Boring. But much better.

Just as a believe there is someone for everyone, I believe there is more than one someone for everyone, although if you have found the one I see no reason to keep on looking.

i have a picture of my first boyfriend hanging on my wall. in my old apartment when current bf's of dates would ask who he was my reply was alway, "he's the standard, good luck." i realize now thats not the best way to do it. i don't want someone to be nate. i don't want to replace him. i just want to feel the way i feel about him without the ache of regret.

as far as why they call it fallin' here is the answer i think is right.

i know its anime but its the best quality i could find.

There has been 3 times that I've fallen in love, and one time very deeply. After a heart wrenching break-up, I tend to avoid letting another person have my heart so easily.

My first time was highschool with my best friend.
2nd time when I was in my early 20's with my partner who passed away.
And now with my partner of 12 years.
Each time was special in it's own way and to this day I STILL love them all.

Two songs come to mind: "What Is This Thing Called Love" & "The Second Time Around". Also, I'ld just like to add that some of us have NEVER fallen in love, so maybe I should add "But Not For Me".

I fell in love twice and I'm in the 2nd one. I'm obsessive.
But generally I fall in love easily with the people that can suck nipples well. hehe... ;)

Love is a many splendored thing
