How often do you Clean anything?

I'm still waiting for Kim and Aggie to ring my doorbell...

I'm not a great housekeeper. I do pick up things, as I can't stand much clutter - but as for real cleaning.....not often. I do vacuum through once a week. I do the kitchen floor when I can tell it needs it, although I can't stand anything on the counter tops, so I'm constantly wiping those down. The bathroom is kept reasonably clean.

I found this among some clippings in my file cabinet:

DUST
By Sydney King Russell

Agatha Morley
All her life
Grumbled at dust
Like a good wife.

Dust on a table,
Dust on a chair,
Dust on a mantel
She couldn't bear.

She forgave faults
In man and child
But a dusty shelf
Would set her wild.

She bore with sin
Without protest,
But dust thoughts preyed
Upon her rest.

Agatha Morley
Is sleeping sound
Six feet under
The mouldy ground.

Six feet under
The earth she lies
With dust at her feet
And dust in her eyes.

Im always cleaning , some of the time my floor of my bedroom can be covered in clothes , pillows papers and what not, but sometimes i just have to clean it up , it can be 2 am in the morning and i will clean it up coz mess can annoy me at times, and i change my sheets every 5-6 days , i just love sleeping in nice clean sheets

I never clean the greaves residence.:D

But every Monday evening I come home from work to discover a spotless, fresh-smelling, and tidy apartment.:D

A beautiful - straight - estudiante, David, from Colombia, is the current cleaner.

2 tips:

(1) In the kitchen, invest in a top-of-the range: washing machine/dishwasher/self-cleaning, ceramic top oven/auto-defrost fridge-freezer, and a combination microwave.

(2) Household pests - large and small - are attracted by 2 things: warmth and a reliable food source. The first you can do little about. The second is easily remedied by making sure that ALL food is kept in the fridge/freezer, or in tight secure containers. And NEVER EVER have a waste-food bin in the kitchen. All waste food products should be out of your home within 12 hours max.

I keep everything somewhat tidy, but generally clean, vacuum etc., once a week. I'm tired when I get home from work.

1. Dirty dishes directly into the dishwasher.
2. Vacuum when I step on a rock that got tracked in somehow.
3. Laundry when there's a full load.
4. Bathroom usually once a week.
5. Garbage completely out on garbage night.
6. Annual dusting (hate dusting). After a while it really doesn't get worse.
7. Windows? I don't do windows. (Ok, when they are really, really bad.)
8. 'Deep Cleaning?'...when I move.

i clean the apartment once a week. run the sweeper, straighten up, clean the bathroom, do laundry, and do the dishes. i dust about once a month. ;) i get my car washed and waxed about once a month. i tidy up my desktop on my computer once every couple weeks.

^This^ is oddly profound.
