Anything hotter than an 8 is too hot......

I cant taste the food anymore....

I love spicy foods!
Being Korean, I grew up eating lots of it. 75% of korean cuisine consists of using chilli peppers/ground chilli/chilli paste. The older I get I have noticed my tolerance level slowly getting lower however.
Spicy is great, over spiced is horrible though. You lose all taste of the food itself after a certain level.
Im more of a fan of foods prepared to be spicy rather than dousing foods with hot sauce.
Sriracha sauce is a godsend though :) I cant eat fried rice without it. Lol

I consider myself an 11.

Even at the point I find it too hot for me, I'd still gobble it (yeah, I know I'm playing with death ).

Chilli and spices are the source of life (not Yggdrasil).

But again, I haven't tried the notorious Habanero pepper, so lol.

I love chili on just about any kind of foods. Especially since I tried Korean food one day.

Hotsauce is good just by itself.. I drank whole bottles of it before. :D

Oops; double post

Anyway I rated 7. cause I do enjoy the taste of food, but I like it hot enough so I get that burning feeling and my eyes begin to water.

I voted 8 just because I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the much-hotter habaneros, etc.

However I can eat Thai or even Pakistani spiced "hot" in Asian restaurants, without problem...and enjoy it!

I like spicy foods, but I can’t really eat them anymore. Even a little bit will give me heartburn for days.

The only thing I find I can eat that is spicy is “Spicy Chicken” from the Chinese place I use to go to. Even then I could only eat the chicken part of the dish. If I ate any of the actual peppers, onions, etc. I would regret it within minutes.

As for the poll I voted an 8. Plus or minus depending on my mood at the time.

PS Peppers on good pizza is the best.

love hot and spicy food

Sriracha...my favorite sauce :D

I use to take my nephew out for Chinese food and he has always loved that stuff. He started eating it when he was 5 or so. He is now 13 and he will eat half a bottle in one meal.

I like my stuff hot but not so hot I lose all taste sensation - which is what a few of my friends like - so much chilli it tears their taste buds to shreds.

The flip side of it is, having eaten chilli food for so long, food without chilli tastes oddly bland.

I've taken to adding it to my pizza and pasta, and sometimes my sandwiches too.

I love eating chili, like there was a time that i almost ate chili in every meal that i tak, i even chop it into very tiny pieces to fel the heat

My personal "hotness" scale/tolerance.

8 is perfect

9 is uncomfortable

10 BATTERY ACID

No, i'm a wuss, korma is really the height for me. Why would i want torture with my meal.

Me too!!!!!

Do tell what number you voted. Centex.

Well you started the poll, and since you mention how much you like Thai Food, I voted 7 on the poll.

I really like Thai Food, but for spicy...Indian Food has that beat hands down in my opinion.

But it's not "hot hot," it's the kind of "heat" that sneaks up on you.

I like spicy, but it should come in waves, not knock me down to the floor and beat the shit out of me! ;)

My personal "hotness" scale/tolerance.

8 is perfect

9 is uncomfortable

10 BATTERY ACID

I've got a friend of mine who eats Scotch Bonnet peppers like they're candy.

And even those aren't the hottest! [-X

But yeah, when it gets the point that I can no longer taste anything, then why bother?

I've noticed that alot about Nordic countries, is salted liquorice popular there too? I was convinced by a group of Swedes to eat some and >.< saltier than Vegemite.

I've never heard of it and it does not sound appealing. I live in Minnesota, so I will ask some friends in Norway about it.

Just enough hotness to give is a little zing.

I voted a 3.

Pepperoncini or it's US version banana peppers is about as hot as I want.
