Hi, i have read that silicone lube is great for anal sex, but it can't clean easily with water

my question is, how to clean out anus/rectum after anal sex that using silicone lube ???

does it harm your body of it left without clean out for certain time???

kindly advise, thank :)

You should only use water based lubes internally, and not silicone or petroleum products. Things that don't wash out easily become breeding grounds for all kinds of trouble.

^This,it will rot condoms at a fair rate of knots, use many of the water based products that are safer and designed for anal play.

Hu .. what? Source please?

While petrol and oil based stuff like vaseline (petrol jelly) IS bad for condoms, most silicon based lubes are certified to not affect the latex. So just keep an eye open that they are designed to be used with condoms.

Furthermore certain studies have shown that water based lubes damage the body cells and make it easier for HIV to enter the body and replicate.

Yes,your source is quite correct, however different folks different strokes,i would always advice using a water based lube. Yes MOST,though not all silicon based lubes meet the demanding standard.
The certain studies that you refer to are like anything in medical research, new info all the time. Like keeping an eye open to make sure they are compatible with Anal Intercourse.

thanks all for your reply, i did search that the silicone lube that i interest is condom safe, also i've try water based lubricant before, but it dry so fast and i need to re-apply it during sex...

i just want to try to use silicone lube but did not find "any simple" solution to clean it out from rectum after having anal...

anyone who has using silicone lube pls share with me :|

Corny,in addition the geo-political and medical mores of a city do demand that you need to make tough decisions when you triage and treat someone.
Here in Edinburgh we are suffering a pandemic of HIV because of the rampant iv drug-abuse and the sharing of "works",here our local health board supplys free condoms and lube to all.
It is difficult enough trying to get some people to use lube and a condom, especially when all they are looking for is their next "fix".
This is why we supply water-based lube,as explaining the correct "silicone" lube would just go in one ear,and straight out the other.

The silicone that is used in lubes is food grade silicone- the same stuff that is in cooking sprays. It's inert, so your body doesn't absorb it. As long as you're using a small amount, it stays on the skin and is either wiped off with a towel or with toilet tissue. It's more frustrating to get out of clothing and bed linens.

does silicone contain glycerin?
Glycerin, glycols and other sugar alcohols are the primary ingredients in water-based lubes.

For what it's worth, I've never seen a silcone lube that is NOT safe for condoms in the wild. My guess is that those are more massage oils or similar. You act angrily, as if 50% of the lubes out there were a scam. But that's just not the case.

Again you are correct,i am angry at the idiotic behaviour of some really more straight iv users, however you questioned why i would advice water-based and i responded.
I even posted again to clarify why here we use water-based lubes. Here our NHS is under enormous strain, because of this "money" is always a problem.
Hence the "bulk" purchase of water-based lube. Glad that you know me well enough to even let me know which percentage i have in mind.

For what it is worth! Not all condoms are made from "latex",just saying.

Apologies, have sent Corny a PM,trying to explain my frustration. I hasten to add in the public forum,my intention was not to have a "go" at Corny.

Not wishing to be unnecessarily crude, but won't a decent bowel movement get rid of most residual lube?

I too have been wondering, if not exactly worrying, about this.

Have recently been using silicone-based personal lubricant for both bottoming with partners and for fingering myself.

I use "pjur man: basic personal glide" - it's labelled as "Condom Safe" and the listed ingredients are: "Cyclopentasiloxane; Dimethicone; Dimethiconol" - and, while I don't use a large amount each time, I do use it regularly.

I prefer it to the water-based lubricants that I've used but may reconsider.

Silicone used in lubes are food grade and are harmless to the body. A hot water shower with multiple rinses with soapy lather is enough to wash off the lube from skin. But the bigger problem is silicone stain removal from bedsheets and fabrics. You're guaranteed to mess up your bed sheets eventually. So what I do is reserve several dark bath towels to cover my bed and use it to wipe off excess lube. I also used those water proof bed sheet liners and they work great for easy clean up.
