How to dress my age at the gym

What you wear ought to start with what it is you're there at the gym to do.

Some guys dress like pathetic late-1970's gay porn characters because they're really only there to cruise.

But if its a real gym and you're going there to truly work out, then whatever activity you plan to do ought to be your guide.

And bad taste in gym clothes is the same whether one is 22, 42 or 62.

Montel Williams is 50-something and wears Spandex tank-tops and shorts to the Gym..He's middle-aged, Good-Looking and got Ass, Thighs and Arms for dayzzz...Leeza Gibons teased Montel once by saying she noticed how he'd lean over the Stage with his back to his live audience showing off his Tight-Ass...He laughed and denied it but he flaunted his Hot body to his audience every chance he got and the Women loved it.....He is a Celebrity but still a good example age-wise......

So in my opinion there is nothing wrong with a Man or Woman wearing provocative/form-fitting clothing @ the Gym..I'm not understanding why you keep comparing yourself to 20yr old Guys...

I'm starting to think you have an issue with Aging VS having an issue with how your Fit physique looks in Gym wear....You are in Great shape and you know that...You must have a problem with getting older..

I agree with this out of a social respect thing. I am used to being smacked up the head when I was an officer for wearing any form of headgear inside a building.

I wear pretty much the same stuff I always have. A cheapie cotton t shirt and non-descript shorts. Gym shoes and white socks. I notice people there a third of my age who do the same. Women tend to dress up a little more. Honestly, I don't go there to see what people wear but yes you do notice. I'm more interested in why a particular woman pre-cleans all the machines, then does her set(s) and then post-cleans them. Never seen anyone pre-clean a machine before. But she looks sorta mean so I'm not going to ask her because she might say something like "well, because of pigs like you who don't clean the machine after use.." Geesh...

If I start the day out with sunnies and a hat, they stay on my head (although I don't have the sunnies over my eyes indoors). If I take them off and put them down somewhere, I will lose both hat and sunnies either to absent-mindedness (most likely) or thieving elves* (likely enough).

*I'm in this exact position at the moment - one of the guys I work closely with is wearing a beanie I took off in the lab. I never take off my hat, and the one time I did... I know it's mine, because we've worked together for a decade and I'd have noticed if he had it as long as he claims to because I'd have said "hey - same hat!" like I always do when someone owns something I own. He claims he bought it last year at a local sports store. I know I bought it in 2005 and that said sports store only stocks actual sports gear and not fashion headwear by struggling surf giants Billabong of Australia, because I went there to go try buy a new one.
