Minister of Silly Walks
Alright.
I have absoultly no gaydar, I'm going to admit this right off the bat. Why?
It's not that I can spot gay people, rather I spot straight people that I hope are gay.
Now, with that cleared out of the way, I think I might have actually found one.
Awhile ago, my last work infatuation (aka Eye Candy to get me through the dull, dark, soulcrushing hell that is my job), up and quit for reasons unknown. Which sucked, cause not only did I lose my eye candy, but I lost the nicest/friendlist guy in the place.
Anyways, his former mantle of friendist guy has been usurped by a fellow co-worker hired at the same time I was.
Now, I'm not sure if he is or isn't, but I do have some things that might very well present a clear case:
1.) Vocal mannerisms: Sort of a "higher" end voice, and so forth...
2.) Hand gestures and so forth.
3.) The word "scuse"...I've never heard a straight guy ask a girl to "scuse" out of his way for a moment....
4.) Can I use the he's too cute to be straight argument here?
5.) Since I feel I can be a bit "personal" here, his first name (as I know him) is Jackie. So whether he is named Jack, and Jackie is a nickname that he goes by or whatnot...I don't know..
6.) He spent most of the night talking with two of the female bartenders...Which sounds like a straight thing, but is confusing...They started talking off about their grad dresses, then moved on to their sports involvment and so forth, so I don't know...
Now, I can't just ask him. Especially at work...I mean, technically, in if he isn't or even if he is, I'm kinda bound by certain work guidelines and such to not be able to ask him if he is or isn't at work...
So, any thoughts and or suggestions?
