I go through walls to escape people chasing me. Sometimes when I go through a wall I can make it be some place other than where a door would take you. I was being chased by zombie Nazis who didn't want to eat brains, they wanted balls, and I concentrated and dashed through a wall that should have gone to a conference room, but I made it the school incinerator. I jumped across it, and predictably they blew a hole in the wall with a grenade and charged through the smoke right into the incinerator. There was one heck of a hot college guy shoveling shredded paper into the incinerator, and I told him to strip because he was sweating so hard his clothes were dripping wet... I stripped, too, and we drifted out a window up to ten thousand feet and had sex in the sky while a college football game was going on in a stadium down below.
Finding a hot guy in a hot room LOL ...I love the way that one turned out for you. Sounds like an awesome dream.

That reminds me of a dream where I could fly over any sports stadium, close my eyes, vanish and reappear over any other stadium anywhere on earth. THAT was kool.
Thats pretty cool too

well.. it happens every now and then. hasn't happened recently though which is a good thing because it's a fucking bitch when it happens. :(

Varies by dream... sometimes just a little bit, sometimes a fair amount.
Lucid-ness varies independent of control too, you can be only partially so, or pretty much fully.

It must still be liberating though. I don't think I've had a dream where I was acutely aware that it was just a dream. I remember as a kid dreaming about these garden gnomes chasing after me and then kicking at my side. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a numbness in the same area.

I've had dreams that hardly count as nightmares, but are only moderately distressing -- until I realize it's just a dream, but I can't take control and can't make it stop. When I wake from those I find the same sweat and aches as in the dream.

BTW, the only time I ever dreamed of garden gnomes, they were just in bunches wandering randomly in and out of 'scenes', singing and giggling.

I have more dreams of flunking classes and not being able to get to a final than any like those, though.
Usually when I have a school/class dream there is something wrong like that - I can't find the room, or forgot my book/folders/pens/etc, or know i'm not gonna have time to finish a test...

There have been a few dreams where I've gotten to class early & there's just a couple other students in the room after i sit down there's a cute guy who looks over & smiles, basically we both 'know' the other is interested (never the same guy between dreams / never gone beyond just a brief talk or taking eachothers hand.) None of those dreams had any lucid parts though.

It is a very liberating feeling :)

One thing I've found is when i get nightmare-ish dreams, i usually wake up in an uncomfortable position..so its my belief thats the cause.
Also I figured out what causes loud sounds like a gunshot or explosion in my dreams...its those little creaks/pops houses make at night. (discovered this one morning when I was laying in bed, mostly awake, but eyes closed & a dream still running - interesting experiance in itself) but anyway I heard one of those little creak sounds & less than a second delay it was output in the dream as a gunshot.
