It is a paperback English mystery published in 1933, shipped from a bookstore in London.
It isn't that it smells mouldy or mildewy....but when I read it in bed before sleep, my sinuses immediately fill up and my eyes start to water.
So in order to finish the book....I have resorted to a mask and goggles.
Does anyone else suffer from allergies to old paper and book spores?
