Inactive status is an option that some members find useful. The point of its request is a matter of individual preference.

I think it helps for those of us who can resist everything BUT temptation. I know that once I log in, I always seem to find something else to say just as I'm about to log off. Before I know it, I've been on JUB for a couple of hours!!!

I guess it's like a nicotine patch, they still get their fix by viewing the site, but don't get hooked on posting! :)
