OMG 32 is considered fat now?! And here I was being happy that I was *only* a 32 when I should have been crying for being overweight.

32 is NOT FAT....I have been up to 36 and now stand at 34..33 for certain brands of jeans...

It really depends on your body structure (bone structure, height, weight), whether you would be considered over weight or not. I felt fat being 32. I still feel a little over weight being 31. But people told I look too thin at 29.

I kind of want to get...well...have been contemplating ...getting liposuction on my tummy so I don't have to look at it any more. It is just a little bit on the front of my stomach but still. I have been working on my abdominal muscles and I think it has made it more noticable because the fat is on top of the muscle. One of my friends told me that a doctor would not approve it because I'm not considered over weight but another told me that I can go to Beverly Hills and get whatever I want. hmmm....just thinking about it...probably will not do it.

Hey :grrr: I use to be a size 26 then I went to 28 then 30 now I'm 32 quit complaining you toothpick :grrr::p

Another 32 waist club member! Yeah!

But seriously, i don't think my jeans size is big at all. It's the perfect size for me. I don't want to be smaller or bigger. Btw, we all had size 26 for a period some time ago.

I'm still a growing boy, but not in the ways I want...

I seem to be growing OUT, instead of UP...

you would be proud to know i went to the gym today
working this extra weight off.

i'll be pretty again

I just went from a 30 to a 32 pant size myself. I'm upset about it too; I've been spending a lot of time at the gym. I've always been told how skinny I am; no one has been saying it lately. Sigh

Why does it always have to be 'fat'? Why not use powerful, masculine, or even husky? People place too much meaning in words like fat, gay, and beauty when they should just place emphasis on words like 'self' and 'learn'. Words like fat are too negative.

...somebody smack me I'm being cryptic again...

But yeah, I'm not overweight, I'm just naturally largely-built and big-boned.

Jenny Craig

With more than 640 centers around the globe and thousands of women followers, Jenny Craig has established itself as a leader in the weight-loss industry since 1983. Familiar Jenny Craig successes include Joy Behar of ABC's "The View", Kirstie Alley and Monica Lewinsky.

Jenny Craig understands that each person, and therefore each plan, is very different. They offer three membership plans- trial, gold and platinum- and work with you to design an individualized weight-loss plan that adheres to the driving principles of the program. The Jenny approach encourages a healthy relationship with food, physical activity and a balanced lifestyle. For those who've followed the diet-of-the-hour, they'll quickly see what makes Jenny Craig a stand-out success.

The Jenny Craig program sets you up for success right away. You'll have an initial meeting where you'll submit a health profile and determine if the Jenny Craig program is right for you. You'll then be given a personalized meal and fitness plan, during a private session with a Jenny representative. Meetings are held each week to follow your progress with a counselor. Of course, if this isn't ideal for your schedule, you can visit the Web site or arrange for individual meetings by phone.

The program's success is in the Jenny Craig food. Choose from a variety of 75 pre-packaged meals, or create a menu yourself. You can even have the meals delivered straight to your door. The Jenny Craig plan has a daily caloric intake of 1200-1300 and is in accordance with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The DGA recommends a diet of lean meat, fish, poultry, eggs, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts and reduced-fat or fat-free dairy.

At Jenny Craig, you'll find they're just as interested in your success as you are. That's why your counselors will assist you in making healthful meals on your own once you've reached your goal weight.

Not much success!!

Pretty, I feel you man. I really do. I'm pushing 31. It's very annoying. Luckily, I wear all my jeans on my hips, so I don't really have to worry about fat there too much, but I really need to work out and get my 6 pack back. I haven't had it for 2 years. Damn college.

peTe - read this...it will make you not want to eat ever again

Its called "advancing in years". Yes, 32" is not fat. Only Teenagers are thinner than that!!!

I was thin at 34" in my 20's. I am now "larger" at 38", due to a knee injury. But soon back to 36", which at my age is normal. I will not return to the 18y/o state unfortunately. There is only one part of me that thinks it is still 18y/o.

We can hide gray hair and baldness and even banish wrinkles, but weight-loss requires dedication & effort. Its now Spring in the Southern Hemisphere so many people will be trying to get rid of the Winter weight. Maybe we should have a section under Health & Wellbeing for reporting our progress (ie confessing our sins).

To all those up North who are heading towards Winter & weight gain, sorry, but it happens.

Health eating!!!
